The Grand Vitara S-CNG delivers an impressive claimed mileage of 26.6 km/kg, positioning it as a practical choice for cost-conscious buyers. Available exclusively with a five-speed manual transmission, it gets Maruti Suzuki’s naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre four cylinder engine calibrated for CNG operation, which generates 88PS and 122Nm

Infotainment is handled by a 9-inch ‘SmartPlay Pro+’ touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The cabin incorporates an air purifier with PM 2.5 display, automatic climate control, and ventilated front seats. Additional convenience features comprise a wireless charging dock, steering-mounted audio controls, and a premium Clarion sound system.

The Swift S-CNG shares its powerplant with the new-generation petrol-powered Swift. The all-new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine in CNG guise delivers 70PS and 102Nm (the Petrol version delivers 82PS and 112Nm). Maruti Suzuki claims that the Swift S-CNG offers a fuel efficiency of 32.85km/kg (Petrol Swift delivers 24.8kmpl in MT and 25.75kmpl in AMT variants). However, the Swift S-CNG’s engine only comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Swift S-CNG looks identical to the petrol-powered variants and other than the compromised boot space owing to the CNG cylinder, the interiors remain the same. The Swift S-CNG is the 14th CNG-powered offering in Maruti Suzuki’s portfolio.
