In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Tata.ev has teamed up with Red Bull India for a series of extreme vehicular challenges, and the star of these would be the Tata Harrier.ev and Lebanese Red Bull athlete Abdo “Dado” Feghali. We are very excited to see the upcoming video, the first in the series, which will be released soon.

For the uninitiated, the Tata Harrier.ev is the first Indian EV to come with a dual-motor AWD setup, which Tata calls Quad Wheel Drive (QWD for short). The numbers are staggering — a combined output of 396PS and, more importantly for an off-roader, 504Nm. Tata claims a 0-100 kmph time of just 6.3 seconds — that’s seriously quick. It is backed by a 75kWh battery pack that supports 1.5C fast charging. The Harrier.ev can regain 250km of range in around 15 minutes. We already had an idea of just how capable the Harrier.ev was when we attended the Quad Drive event.

As for the man behind the wheel, Abdo “Dado” Feghali, well, he started competing in 1998. He went to claim four runners-up positions in his home country’s national rally championships before winning the whole thing three times. Not content with that, He managed to secure the crown of the Middle East’s Hill Climb champion on three separate occasions. But his impressive resume has one more item — the Lebanese rally driver broke the Guinness World Record for the longest drift in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates in 2013.

With a car like that paired with a driver like this, we can surely expect some fireworks, and that’s why we are eagerly waiting for the first video to drop.

Tata Motors has officially launched the Harrier.ev, its all-electric flagship SUV and this isn’t just a Harrier with an EV badge. This is a product that has been built from the ground up and marks a new chapter in Tata’s EV lineup.

Built on the all-new acti.ev+ architecture, the Harrier.ev is equipped with dual motors with an all-wheel drive (AWD) system called the Quad Wheel Drive or QWD. The numbers? A combined output of 504Nm and 396PS, 158PS going to the front and 238PS to the rear wheels. Tata claims 0-100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds, making this one of the quickest EVs in its class – quicker than many luxury ICE SUVs. All this is backed by a 75kWh battery pack that supports 1.5C fast charging. Plug it in and you can top up around 250km worth of range in just 15 minutes. The real-world range, according to Tata, is between 480 and 505km.

But that’s not all, the Harrier.ev is equipped with off-road features as well, making full use of the AWD system it comes with. You get six terrain modes: Normal, Grass/Snow, Mud/Gravel, Sand, Rock Crawl and even a Custom one. There’s also off-road cruise control, Boost and Drift modes, and something Tata calls Transparent Mode, which lets you see what’s under the SUV through the screens working in conjunction with various cameras mounted on the exterior. It also gets a 540-degree camera setup, helping visibility in tricky spots.

Tata calls the cabin ‘the Zenith Suite’. Think powered, ventilated and memory seats, a boss mode for stretching out in the rear, rear sunshades, ambient lighting synced with drive modes and even music. There’s dual-zone climate control, a built-in air purifier, wireless charging, and 65W USB fast chargers to top it off.

The Harrier.ev is pretty spacious too, boot space stands at 502 litres, expandable to 999 litres with the seats folded. There’s a frunk too, 67 litres in the RWD version and 35 litres in AWD. The Harrier.ev can even charge other EVs or run external appliances thanks to vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-load capabilities.

You get Digi Access (UWB-based keyless entry via phone or smartwatch), a smart card key, and an 11-function remote key with features like Summon and Remote Park. Then there’s DrivePay, India’s first in-car UPI payment system, and EV-specific navigation made in partnership with Mappls that offers battery-aware routing and charger discovery.

The dash is a massive 14.5-inch Samsung Neo QLED infotainment display, the world’s first in a car, paired with a 10-speaker JBL system with Dolby Atmos. The built-in Arcade.ev app suite packs OTT platforms, radios, music apps, and more.

Safety is also one of the major points of focus for the Harrier.ev, it gets 7 airbags, Level 2 ADAS with 20+ features, ESP with i-VBAC, Hill Descent Control, TPMS, AVAS, SOS, auto wipers/headlamps, and even a dashcam-integrated HD IRVM.

The Tata Harrier.ev is something new and unique in the Indian electric car market, and we are likely to see more such interesting vehicles emerge in this segment.
