Are you an EV owner who suffers from range anxiety during long journeys? Having to plan the whole trip based on the charging points available en route is a real pain. Never fear, as MG has a solution that might ease the pain of EV owners in India, called the e-Hub.

e-Hub by MG is India’s only EV charging app with over 22,500 charging points listed on the platform. The app now hosts 40+ leading charge point operators, including Jio-bp, TATA Power, Adani, Shell, Zeon, Charge Zone, BPCL, etc. Additionally, MG has introduced new features to the app, like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, charger review and ratings, smart trip planner, and nearby amenities, making the app more user-friendly. Users can also make reservations and pay for the charging sessions on the app itself, making the EV experience more convenient.

The app was such a huge milestone for electric mobility in India that MG held a press conference just to tell the media about the app, back in 2024. The app is free to download for all EV owners, regardless of which car they own and can be found on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

V-Green and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited have announced their collaboration to jointly set up electric vehicle charging stations and work towards developing the charging infrastructure in the country. The move aims to solidify the long-term development of VinFast and HP e-Charge brands in the market.

V-Green is a global charging station development company and an arm of VinFast. HPCL operates over 24,400 retail outlets nationwide and over 5,300 EV charging outlets under the HP e-Charge brand. Under the agreement, V-Green aims to take advantage of HPCL’s retail network to accelerate and deploy charging infrastructure across the country.

HPCL has traditionally been a fossil fuel retailer, with products like poWer and poWer 100 (a 100-octane petrol), but it is now taking steps to adapt to alternate sources of energy with focus mainly on electric mobility.

VinFast is a leading Vietnamese EV brand, and it now has 35 dealerships operating in India, with more to come. It has two products on sale, the VF6 and VF7. We have driven the VF7 and come away impressed.
