Bengaluru, October 16, 2023: Bengaluru-based electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, River, has
successfully initiated deliveries of its debut product, Indie, in Bengaluru. Aravind Mani, the CEO and
Co-Founder, along with Vipin George, the Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder, were present at
River Headquarters to officially hand over the keys to the first group of pre-order customers. Indie
was launched earlier this year in February, followed by the rollout of the first Indie at River’s state-of-
the-art manufacturing facility in Hoskote in August.

Following the latest modifications in the FAME II Subsidy, the price of the Indie has been revised
and will be announced shortly. However, staying true to its commitment, River has stuck to the
initially promised ex-showroom price of INR 1,25,000 for its pre-order customers in Bengaluru.
Furthermore, River is actively working on its inaugural experience center in Bengaluru, slated for a
November 2023 launch.

River is the only homegrown EV company to base both production and headquarters in Karnataka.
Since its inception in March 2021, River has raised a total of $28 million in funds from marquee
investors including Dubai-based Al Futtaim group, Chris Sacca’s Lowercarbon Capital, Toyota
Ventures, Maniv Mobility, and Trucks VC. Notably, River is the sole Indian investment for Al Futtaim
group, Toyota Ventures, Trucks VC, and Maniv Mobility.

Bengaluru, October 06, 2023: Ola, India’s largest ride-hailing platform, today announced the launch of its all electric on-demand delivery service – Ola Parcel, in Bengaluru. Aimed at electrifying logistic services for India, Ola parcel will serve as a highly affordable, and accessible delivery solution for all.

Starting today, Ola Parcel service would be available across Bangalore at highly affordable prices which would be as low as INR 25 for 5 km, INR 50 for 10 km, INR 75 for 15 km and INR 100 for 20 km.

The service has been launched as part of Ola’s commitment to provide innovative, affordable, and sustainable solutions to meet the evolving mobility and logistics needs of the customers. The full-scale rollout of the service will follow in Bengaluru and will be scaled in cities across the country in the next few months.

Ola has recently launched its E-bike services in Bangalore making everyday travel accessible and affordable to masses at scale. This is in addition to the many steps Ola has taken over the last few months to enhance the ride-hailing experience in India. It recently launched its premium service Prime Plus in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, and Chennai to ensure a seamless commute experience for customers with professional drivers and complete ride assurance, eliminating any cancellations or operational hassles.

Having commenced services in 2011, Ola is the market leader and has the biggest ride-hailing network in India with operations in 200 cities and more than 1 million drivers on the platform.
