The Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has crossed the 50,000-unit production milestone of the Škoda Kylaq. The Kylaq has been a key contributor to SAVWIPL’s 36 percent year-on-year growth in 2025.
To support the Kylaq’s production, SAVWIPL increased capacity at its Chakan manufacturing plant by 30 percent. Alongside the expansion, SAVWIPL has strengthened engagement with domestic suppliers, enabling higher localisation levels and greater scale in its India operations.
The Kylaq’s local production aligns with the Make-In-India initiative, underscoring the group’s long-term focus on India. As SAVWIPL continues to expand its ecosystem in India, it is increasing localisation across its product portfolio.
