Simple Energy has announced the launch of its new electric 2-wheeler, the Dot One, a sub-one lakh electric scooter as a more affordable option in the company’s portfolio. It will start taking exclusive pre-bookings from December 15th, and commence deliveries from January 2024.
The Dot One will be based on the Simple One and gets over 30 litres of under-seat storage. It will also get a touchscreen instrument cluster that brings various functionalities together and also offers app connectivity for added convenience.
The Dot One will be equipped with a fixed 3.7kWh battery pack which propels the scooter to 151km of certified range and 160km in IDC range. It will also have specially made tyres to increase its efficiency and thereby, the range.
The Simple One was launched in May of this year and is priced at Rs. 1.45 lakh, ex-showroom. The scooter is powered by a 5.5kWh battery pack that gives a certified range of 212km. The Simple One has a 11.5PS motor that puts out a peak torque of 72Nm.
The Dot One will go up against the Hero Atria, Ola S1 X, the e-Sprinto Rapo and others.
