The Redmi Note series gets the 13th installment, We take a look at the three phones that comprise Redmi’s first launches of 2024

What are they?

Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G
The Note 13 Pro Plus features a curved AMOLED display with 12bit panel, 1800 nits peak brightness, 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision and Atmos. The main camera duties are handled by the 200MP ISOCELL HP3 unit. The Pro Plus gets additional protection in the form of a Polymer buffer strip inside the body, a reinforced motherboard and aluminium corners. The screen protection is in the form of Gorilla Glass Victus. The phone gets a Vegan leather back with a colour-blocked pattern in the back. The Pro Plus gets the fastest charger in the Note 13 lineup, with a 120W unit capable of charging the 5000mAh battery from 0 to 100 percent in 19 minutes. The Pro Plus runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra 5G and is the world’s first phone to run on this processor.

Next in line for the Note 13 series is the Pro 5G. The Pro brings flagship-level specs such as Corning Gorilla Victus glass, 1.5K AMOLED display with a 12 bit panel, 1800 nits peak brightness, 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision. The Pro gets a 200MP ISOCELL HP3 main camera with 4X zoom as the Pro Plus model. It gets a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor which is based on a 4nm process and supports up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The Pro is also powered by a 5000mAh battery but comes with a faster 67W charger. The Pro even retains the 3.5mm audio jack and IR blaster like the standard model!

The Note 13’s 6.67-inch AMOLED display supports up to 120Hz while providing a vivid colour palette and gets Gorilla Glass 5 protection. With a thickness of 7.6mm, the Note 13 5G is Redmi’s slimmest phone yet. The real surprise is the fact that the phone still has the 3.5mm audio jack and the signature IR blaster! It even gets an IP54 rating against dust and water splashes. 
Coming on to the cameras, the Note 13 5G gets a triple camera setup in the back with a 108MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro lens. At the front, you get a 16MP selfie camera. The phone gets a single down-firing speaker that supports Dolby Atmos. The phone runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 6080 running on 6nm technology. The phone can be specced with up to 12GB RAM along with 8GB Virtual RAM and 256GB internal memory. Powering the phone is a 5000mAh battery that can be charged with a 33W fast charger.
