Pre-bookings open for the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance Edition

The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is all set to get a new option in India as they have pre-bookings of the limited-run M Performance Edition variant has commenced for a token amount of Rs 1.50 lakh. Bookings are being accepted at the BMW Online Shop, with prices set to be unveiled on September 7, 2023.

So what’s different about this 2 Series Gran Coupe variant? Details on it are scarce, but it will get a Black Sapphire body shade and as the name suggests get M Performance themed bits like the grille, and gear selector lever. The cabin is set to have a black and beige theme. As far as features go, expect it to retain all the bells and whistles of the model sold here which includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, a panoramic glass roof, ambient lighting, digital driver’s display and a wireless phone charger.

Powering the sedan will be limited to a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine capable of 179PS and 280Nm. Paired to a seven-speed DCT gearbox, it can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 7.1 seconds.

Expect the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance Edition to retail at a price premium over the standard model that retails from Rs 43.50 lakh, ex-showroom onwards. In terms of rivals, the sedan has the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine for company.
