Volkswagen launched the first product under its India 2.0 strategy last year in the form of the Taigun, positioned as a premium, five-seat SUV. And the big launch for the German car maker in 2022 is the Virtus, its first all-new sedan for the Indian market in a long time and a car that takes on the likes of established names like the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and of course its own cousin, the Skoda Slavia in the premium sedan segment. We caught up with Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen India, on the sidelines of the press drives of the Volkswagen Virtus, engaging in a casual conversation with him, also understanding how his first year of being at the helm of proceedings at Volkswagen India has panned out!
