OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G: Review

Priyan Benoy
The junior Nord that gets some right and some not

The OnePlus Nord CE4 lite follows the footsteps of its family but does that justify its pricing, given the existence of the OnePlus Nord CE4? Here is our detailed review.

Design and Build Quality:
The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite follows a different philosophy compared to the CE4. It features a flat back, flat edges, and rounded corners. Being smaller, it’s easier on the hands. The hole-punch display is retained, and yes, this one includes a headphone jack.

Display:
Following in the footsteps of other OnePlus phones, the display continues to impress. The 6.67-inch screen boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, 2100 nits of peak brightness, and ‘Aqua Touch,’ which lets you use the phone even when wet—a feature that works surprisingly well.

Performance and Gaming:
At the heart of the Lite is a Snapdragon 695 5G processor and Adreno 619 GPU, paired with 8GB of RAM. Two storage options are available: 128GB and 256GB. Day-to-day tasks are smooth as butter. We tested a demanding title like COD with both graphics and frame rate set to very high. There were no frame drops, but the phone did heat up slightly after some time.

Camera:
The CE4 Lite features a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main unit and a 2MP depth unit. Photos lacked clarity and were underexposed at times.

Software and User Experience:
The CE4 Lite runs on OxygenOS, based on Android 14. This means no bloatware and a rather smooth experience.

Battery Life and Charging:
This is where the Nord CE4 Lite outshines the competition. It comes with a hefty 5,500mAh battery and an 80W SUPERVOOC charger. The phone easily lasts two days with moderate usage, and charging times are swift.

Verdict:
Priced at Rs. 19,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, it seems like a good deal. However, stretching the wallet a little to go for the Nord CE4 would not be a bad choice either.
