Featuring Garoo Racing’s badges and interior trim, the special variant gets a re-tuned suspension and will be offered only with one engine option
The Fortuner’s lineup in India has just gotten bigger with the launch of the new Toyota Fortuner GR-S. It is priced at Rs 48.34 lakh and gets various cosmetic changes along with a newly tuned suspension setup. The GR in GR-S stands for Gazoo Racing, Toyota’s performance division and the S stands for Sport.
The Fortuner GR-S gets a new black and dual-toned radiator grille, modified front bumper, all-black 18-inch alloy wheels and GR badges on the fenders, boot lid and the front grille, giving the Fortuner a sporty look on the outside.

The interior gets an all-black treatment with red stitching on the black suede and leather seats, GR badges on the start button, front headrests and the steering wheel along with a new instrument cluster.
Under the hood, sits a 204PS, 2.4-litre diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift and paddle shift. The Fortuner GR-S also gets the suspension setup tuned by the Gazoo Racing division.
The Fortuner GR-S’s main rivals will be the Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, MG Gloster, the Isuzu mu-X and the soon-to-be launched VW Tiguan All-Space.
