The GLB has visual similarities to its elder sibling, the GLS when it comes to the upright grille at the front and tapering tail lights at the rear. It comes in three trims, The GLB 200, GLB 220d and GLB 220d 4MATIC. The GLB 200 gets a 1.3-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, paired to a seven-speed DCT that pushes 163PS and 250Nm. While the diesel trim, the GLB 220d gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that produces 190PS and 400Nm which is paired with an eight-speed DCT gearbox

The EQB 300 4MATIC is the fourth EV offering from the marque. It comes with a 66.5kWh battery pack that puts out 225PS and 390Nm. This allows the electric SUV to attain 0 to 96kmph in seven seconds and gets a WLTP-claimed range of 423km on a single charge. The EQB can be charged from 10 to 100 percent charge in roughly six and a half hours with an 11kW AC charger.

The electric SUV EQB will be primarily competing with Volvo's electric SUV, the XC 40 Recharge and Kia EV6. While the GLB currently has no rival in its segment but with respect to its price, it goes up against the likes of the BMW X3 and X4, Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60.
