This special edition trim honours military vehicles and jeeps used in the jungle in fine style
After teasing it just a day ago, Tata Motors has launched the Punch Camo Edition to celebrate the first anniversary of the mini-SUV first in India. Priced from Rs 6.85 lakh ex-showroom onwards, it adds a stealthier vibe to the Punch.
Sure, the Tata Punch Camo Edition doesn’t take the camouflage theme literally, but it does well to meet the stealthy theme. For starters, it is shod in a new Foilage Green paint job reminiscent of military jeeps and vehicles used for the jungle. Elsewhere, it gets blacked-out 16-inch alloy wheels, Camo badging, and silver accents on the front bumper. A white roof adds contrast to the stealthy look.
Inside, the military theme continues with a green shade around the dashboard, complemented by camouflaged seat upholstery. It is offered in the Adventure and Accomplished trims as well as the Rhythm and Dazzle packs. As for the features on offer, it gets bits from the top-spec Creative trim such as a LED DRLs and taillights, push button start/stop, a 7-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system, six-speaker audio system and a reverse parking camera.
Under the hood, it can be specced with the 89PS 1.2-litre petrol engine which is paired with either a five-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.
Compared to its standard counterparts, the Tata Camo Edition carries a premium of around Rs 15,000. The mini-SUV continues to rival the likes of the Nissan Magnite, Maruti Suzuki Ignis and the Renault Kiger.
