This is the second of 10 special 50 Jahre M editions to be launched throughout the year
BMW India has launched an exclusive ‘50 Jahre M Edition’ of the 6 Series in India, called the 630i M Sport at Rs 72.90 lakh. It will be locally produced at BMW Group’s plant in Chennai and can be booked through the website.
This model is part of BMW India’s celebration of 50 years of the M division and as such, gets several exclusive changes as compared to the standard car. It is available in four colour options - Tanzanite Blue Metallic, M Carbon Black, Bernina Grey Amber Effect and Mineral White. Exclusive exterior design elements include the BMW kidney grille in high gloss black and 19-inch M light alloy wheels in jet black with the Motorsport Pack. And on the interior, it gets Sports seats in Natural Leather Dakota with M seatbelts.
The interior also gets the BMW Live Cockpit Professional with BMW Operating System 7.0 that includes 3D navigation, a 12.3-inchdigital instrument display and a 12.3-inch Control Display.
Under the hood lies a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 261PS and 400Nm and mated to an eight-speed Sport automatic transmission system. That means the special edition car can reach 0-100kmph in 6.5 seconds.
The 630i M Sport is the second of 10 distinct 50 Jahre M editions to be launched by BMW India throughout the year. This car comes after the launch of the M340i xDrive 50 Jahre M Edition and will be followed by special editions of the M4, M5, 5 Series and its SUV range later this year.
