Maruti Suzuki has revealed that the new Brezza will come equipped with the Next Gen Suzuki Connect Telematics solution that will offer more than 40 connected features like remote operations, trip analysis, driving behavior, status alerts and many more.
This comes in the heels of the brand announcing that the new SUV will get a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system which will get special acoustic tuning by ARKAMYS. Maruti Suzuki says that the High-Definition display infotainment system will come with an intuitive user interface and advanced voice assist.
Other features revealed so far for the new Brezza are a 360-degree camera, thus enhancing the safety quotient of the car and a Head-Up-Display (HUD). Maruti Suzuki says that the 360-degree camera will provide an immersive and comprehensive view all around and help the drivers while parking and maneuvering the vehicle at tight spots. The HUD is intended to enable drivers to access vital information like speed, RPM, fuel economy, and energy flow among others without having to take their eyes off the road while on the move. Maruti Suzuki says that this feature has been added for a better user interface and also for a refreshing, safe and immersive driving experience.
The company announced the commencement of bookings for its new compact SUV on 20 June 2022 for a premium of Rs 11,000. Bookings can be made on its official website or through its showroom network. (Know more here)
Ever since its launch in 2016, the Brezza has captured 7.5 lakh unit sales in just six years. The prefix Vitara has been dropped and will carry the name Brezza alone. The new-generation compact SUV model from Maruti gets a lot of technical updates and is not just a makeover. From Maruti’s teaser image, the front end carries a new design for the DRL-infused headlamp. The Indian automaker also claims that the Brezza shall feature new technology for convenience and updated interiors.
Some features of the new SUV are six airbags, an electronic stability program as far as safety is concerned and an electric sunroof.
We are sure shot of the fact that the new Brezza will be borrowing the hybrid K-series powertrain that is doing its duty on the new Ertiga and the XL6. Also, the Brezza will ditch its outdated four-speed automatic transmission for an all-new six-speed automatic gearbox found on the new Ertiga. The K15C petrol engine has a displacement of 1.5-litre and is equipped with regenerative braking and torque assist. The powertrain produces 103PS and 136.8Nm of torque. What’s impressive is that the economy figure is at 20.3kmpl (claimed).
Brezza will continue to take on the likes of Hyundai Venue, Kia Seltos, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite, Nissan Kiger and Mahindra XUV 300.
