• Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard all set to reach Indian shores

The Italian supermoto DNA comes with a metropolitan graffiti-inspired livery

Ducati India officially teased the Scrambler Urban Motard on their Twitter handle. Carrying an Italian supermoto DNA, the Urban Motard comes with a metropolitan graffiti-inspired red and white livery.

Italian scrambled eggs are all about having the right mix between self-expression and contemporary design. Urban Motard stands out from its peers with the high raised red-painted front beak, unique side-mounted number plates, flat seat and a wide curved handlebar for an engaging riding experience. The sparky livery is a combination of Star White Silk white and Ducati GP ’19 Red.

Going further, the Urban Motard will carry the signature four half-moons designed DRLs and will also feature Ducati Multimedia connectivity for smartphone integration through its LCD instrument screen on board. On the safety net, it gets Bosch Cornering ABS.

All set to conquer the urban jungle, this agile motorcycle is built on a tubular steel trellis frame that is armed with Kayaba’s suspension front and back. A 41mm USD at the front and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock with 150mm travel at both ends. At the unsprung mass, the 17-inch spoked rims are wrapped with street-focused Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires.

Brembo’s four-pot calliper over the 330mm disc at the front and single-pot calliper over the 245mm disc at the rear control the brashful impulses of this spirited motorcycle.

The Italian Cavallo tips the scale at 196kg and has an air-cooled 803cc L-twin with a desmodromic valve train that neighs 73PS of power and 66.2Nm of torque that is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a hydraulically actuated slipper clutch.

Adding to the personalisation bit, Ducati has partnered with Rizoma to provide performance-focused adjustable clutch levers and a finely crafted aluminium tank cap. Also on the list are termignoni exhaust, brushed aluminium headlight trim and ergonomic ribbed seats.

With the success of Icon, Urban Motard will definitely be well received in the Indian market.
