Only 24 units of this special edition Countryman have been allocated for India

The folks at Mini have given the Countryman a new, darker flavour in India in the form of the Shadow Edition variant at Rs 49 lakh, ex-showroom. Not only does this special edition bring a darker theme to the SUV, but also gets sporty bits from the Countryman Cooper S JCW.

Aside from the gloss black shade, this Countryman is shod with bespoke front fender decals, Shadow Edition bonnet scoop decals, side scuttles, as well as silver accents around the roof and wing mirrors to make it stand out. Speaking of standing out, this one gets the sporty John Cooper Works Aerodynamics Kit.

Inside, things have remained as is aside from a powered tailgate. Key features include an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wired Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting,  a Harman Kardon sound system as well as electric adjustment for the front seats.

Powering the Countryman Shadow Edition is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol motor pushing 178PS and 280Nm. Paired with a 7-speed DCT, it can hit 0-100kmph in 7.5 seconds with a top speed of 225kmph.

With the launch of the Mini Countryman Shadow Edition, the carmaker has kept things exclusive as only 24 units are being allocated.
