JSW MG Motor India has achieved a milestone as the MG Windsor has completed a cross country run from Leh to Kanyakumari in record time.
The MG Windsor covered a distance of 3,757 kilometres from Leh to Kanyakumari in 83 hours and 43 minutes. The feat has been officially acknowledged by the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records, marking it as the first EV in India to complete this journey in the fastest recorded time.
The drive was executed by Mountain Goat, a team of motorsport professionals, who took the vehicle from Ladakh to Tamil Nadu. The journey included 20 charging stops, highlighting improvements in India’s fast charging infrastructure as well as the practicality of long distance EV travel. These stops were mapped using the e-Hub by MG app, which provides access to more than 13,000 charging points from multiple network operators.
The MG Windsor comes with a 52.9kWh battery pack with a range of up to 449km and supports rapid charging. Since its launch in 2024, the Windsor has become the highest-selling EV in the country. We have driven the MG Windsor and have been impressed by its performance.
