Have you ever heard the term “Pocket Rocket”? That’s exactly what we call our long-term MG Comet. It’s a nimble yet aggressive package, making it easy to maneuver through traffic, navigate narrow roads, and—just kidding—almost even footpaths! This impressive vehicle is a delight to live with, especially in the often maddening Pune traffic.

Comet is packed with a plethora of features, including some distinctive and cool touches. One standout is the small comet displayed in the instrument cluster, which showcases even the smallest details like turn indicators, lights, brakes, and when you put it in reverse. It’s a delightful and thoughtful touch, isn’t it?

The MG Comet doesn’t need a start/stop button thanks to its well-integrated design. Instead, it features a weight sensor beneath the seat that automatically allows the driver to start the vehicle by pressing the brake. After that, you’re good to go. The Comet also has a 10.25-inch infotainment system that works perfectly well without being overly touch-sensitive, so you don’t have to press hard to operate it.

It may look small from the outside, but the MG Comet has a surprisingly spacious interior. Priyan loves the back seat just as much as I enjoy being behind the wheel. With engine specs of 41PS and 110Nm, its performance exceeds expectations. On a full charge, it offers a range of 200 km, perfectly covering our daily office commute. Despite this, the Comet has become a cherished companion, garnering numerous compliments wherever we go.
