Maruti Suzuki Commences Production At Its Second Plant In Kharkhoda, Haryana

Maruti Suzuki’s second plant has an annual production capacity of 2.5 lakh units

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced the commencement of commercial production at the second plant of its Kharkhoda manufacturing facility in Haryana. This plant has an annual production capacity of 2.5 lakh units, which takes the total capacity of Kharkhoda facility to 5 lakh units.

​Maruti Suzuki’s total production capacity across its facilities in Gurugram, Manesar in Haryana, Kharkhoda, and Hansalpur in Gujarat now stands at a staggering 26.5 lakh units annually. When the Kharkhoda plant becomes fully operational, it will take the place of Suzuki’s largest four-wheeler manufacturing location with a capacity of 10 lakh vehicles per year.

​Additionally, Maruti Suzuki has also indicated its plan to add 5 lakh units of capacity in FY 26-27, which comes in line with the company’s plan of ramping up production. Currently, Maruti Suzuki manufactures the compact Brezza and the mid-size Victoris SUVs at the Kharkhoda facility. The foundation of this facility was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in August, 2022.
