Mahindra has dropped a teaser, hinting at a new 2026 Thar Roxx variant. Speculations suggest that the SUV could get a special edition with a fully blacked-out look — black exterior, black interiors, black alloys, and a more aggressive road presence that is already characteristic of the Thar.
Currently, the Thar Roxx comes with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol (RWD only) producing 162PS to 177PS depending on the variant, and a 2.2-litre diesel (RWD + 4×4 options) producing 152PS to 175PS depending on the variant.
Thanks to its RWD and 4×4 drivetrains, the ROXX technically has only one true competitor, the Mahindra ScorpioN, which ranges from ₹13.49 lakh to ₹24.34 lakh (ex-showroom).
Prices for the outgoing Mahindra Thar ROXX start at ₹12.39 lakh, going up to ₹22.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
