Kia unveils the facelifted Sonet

Kia, a prominent player in India’s automotive market, has introduced the latest version of its second best-selling model, the New Sonet. The revamped Sonet aims to cater to the preferences of modern couples and professionals seeking a technologically advanced and reliable SUV.

One of the standout features of the New Sonet is its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), offering 10 autonomous features. Notable safety additions include Front Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA), Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA), and Lane Following Assist (LFA), among others. With a total of 25 safety features, the Sonet claims the distinction of being the only Compact SUV in its segment to provide such a comprehensive safety package.

Kia has also made a significant stride in standardising safety across its product line, with the New Sonet featuring 6 airbags as a standard across all variants. 

In a move towards encouraging responsible driving, Kia is launching the ‘Kia Inspiring Drive Program’ (K.I.D). Accessible through the ‘Kia Connect’ app, this program evaluates driving behaviour, giving an Ecoscore to users, which can be redeemed for rewards. Initially, the program will be available for Sonet owners.

Responding to customer feedback, Kia India has reintroduced the Manual Transmission option for all variants with a Diesel powertrain. This expands the transmission choices for Sonet buyers, offering a range of options to suit individual preferences.
