Versys gets a new colour, other models get E20 compliance update

Kawasaki India has introduced a slew of updated models in the year 2025. From new colours, digital instrument clusters and electronics, here is a rundown of the specific models and the updates received.

2026 Kawasaki Z650RS

The 2026 Kawasaki Z650RS gets updated with a LED headlamp and a twin-pod instrument cluster with integrated LCD screen offering Bluetooth connectivity. On the electronic side of things, the Z650RS gets traction control. There is also a new colour on offer – Metallic Ocean Blue. The price of the 2026 Kawasaki Z650 RS starts at ₹7.83 lakh ex-showroom. It is powered by a 649cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine making 68PS and 64Nm. It gets a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.

2026 Kawasaki Vulcan S

The 2026 Kawasaki Vulcan S has been launched in India at ₹8.13 lakh ex-showroom and is available in a Metallic Flat Spark Black colour. The updated cruiser features Ergo-Fit tech which allows the rider to select one of three footpeg positions along with change in handlebar position to suit the rider. Powering the Vulcan S is the 649cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine which produces 61PS and 62.3Nm and a 6-speed gearbox with slip-and assist clutch. However, the Vulcan does not get the TFT screen.

2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650

For the year 2026, the Kawasaki Ninja 650 has been updated with twin-LED headlamps, a 4.3-inch TFT colour display with smartphone connectivity and traction control. The 2026 Ninja 650 is available in Line Green colour and is priced at ₹7.91 lakh ex-showroom. Powering the updated Ninja 650 is the same 649cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine as the Vulcan. However, on the Ninja 650 it produces 68PS and 64Nm. The 6-speed gearbox is assisted by a slipper clutch allowing smooth gearshifts.

Kawasaki’s updating spree continues with the Versys 650 as well as for the year 2026 it has received a new TFT color display with connectivity, four-way adjustable windscreen, LED lighting and traction control in the rider aids department. The updated motorcycle is now priced at ₹8.63 lakh ex-showroom and is available in Metallic Graphite Gray and Metallic Spark Black colour. Powering the Versys 650 is the 649cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine which produces 67PS and 61Nm and gets a 6-speed gearbox with slip-and-assist clutch.

2026 Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX

The Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX is a sport-touring motorcycle from the Japanese bike manufacturer and for the 2026 update it has received a bigger displacement engine and electronic and convenience updates. The Ninja 1100 SX is powered by a 1,099cc liquid-cooled in-line four-cylinder engine that puts out 136PS and 113Nm. The 6-speed transmission is aided with a slip-and-assist clutch and bi-directional quickshifter. The 4.3-inch TFT display also allows connectivity via Kawasaki’s proprietary mobile application. The electronics package includes cornering management system, traction control, wheel lift management, engine braking control and updates to the ABS system for better and safer braking. In terms of convenience, it features a four-step adjustable windshield and a handle-mounted Type-C USB port for charging. The 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX is priced at ₹14.42 lakh ex-showroom and is available in Metallic Brilliant Golden Black and Metallic Carbon Gray colours.
