IPONE by Motul, is a French manufacturer of premium lubricants for two-wheelers and is heavily inspired by Japanese culture. It has launched a diverse range of lubricants along with bike care products in India.
IPONE has used the judo belt progression system to categorise different tiers of oils, starting with the Yellow belt which signifies the entry level ‘Standard’ range followed by the Green belt for the ‘Advanced’ range, then the Blue belt for the ‘Sport’ range and lastly, the Black belt for the top of the line ‘Racing’ range.

The ‘Standard’ range is mineral oil, made as an affordable yet effective option. A step up from this is the ‘Advanced’ range, which is a semi-synthetic engine oil with Ester technology, built for versatile and everyday use.

Next up is the ‘Sport’ range, which is 100 percent synthetic oil with Ester, promising superior engine protection for both on-road and off-road motorcycles. Lastly, we have the ‘Racing’ range, which is the top-of-the-line 100 percent synthetic engine oil also with Ester, promises maximum protection and is formulated for high-performance riding. Also, the ‘Racing’ range is the official partner of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.

The packaging is also worth talking about as it gets coloured accents depending on the tier of oil, which are inspired by the Judo belts along with cool Japanese manga-style prints of motorcycles on the label, like the Ducati Panigale on the ‘Racing’ range.

Apart from this, IPONE is also offering bike care products, which include, chain lube specifically for off-road motorcycles along with coloured chain lubes in white, red, and blue colours. Helmet care products like the helmet interior cleaner and water repellent spray for the visor are also available.
The IPONE range sits above the Motul range which is already a premium brand for lubricants, but despite that, the IPONE range starts from ₹500 for an 800ml bottle of the ‘Standard’ range and goes all the way up to ₹1550 for a 1-litre bottle of the top-of-the-line ‘Racing’ range.
