Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has inaugurated its first 180kW DC fast EV charging station in Chennai. This station features 150 kW and 30 kW connectors, making it compatible with cars of any make.
The charging facility can be used for EVs of any brand and is accessible through the mHyundai App’s Charger Management System. This app offers a suite of features including location services, navigation, pre-booking, payment options, and remote monitoring of charging status. Additionally, the app’s EV charge section highlights fast-charging public stations and maps another 170 regular charging points.
The charging station is conveniently located at the Spencer Plaza Mall on Anna Salai in Thousand Lights, Chennai, providing plenty of leisure options. HMIL plans to establish 100 more of these state-of-the-art charging stations across key areas in Tamil Nadu, making EV travel more accessible and stress-free.
