The Vitpilen 250 is a roadster and certainly looks the part, with a dual tone colour scheme of a white fuel tank with a 13.5-litre capacity and a black single piece seat that has a lower seat height than the outgoing model by 22mm at 820mm. The bike also gets LED lighting. It now sports 17-inch six-spoked wheels clad in MRF tyres instead of the five-spoked ones used previously and also has gone for the underbelly exhaust instead of the side-mounted unit on last gen but still has higher ground clearance at 177mm as opposed to 152mm. The Vitpilen gets features such as a 5-inch LCD display that has a USB Type-C charging port and traction control, ride-by-wire, quickshifter and supermoto ABS.

The Vitpilen 250 is powered by a 250cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 31PS @ 9,500rpm and 25Nm @ 7,500rpm. The engine is housed in a new chassis based on the KTM 250 Duke. The bike gets WP Apex USD forks in the front and an off-centre mounted WP Apex monoshock with preload adjustability in the rear. The bike sports ByBre brakes with a 320mm disc in the front and a 240mm disc in the rear. All in all, the bike still has a lower kerb weight than the previous model by 0.8kg, at 163.8kg.
The Vitpilen 250 competes against the likes of the KTM 250 Duke, BMW G 310 R and the Triumph Speed 400.
