The Honor 200 smartphone has one primary focus — to shoot the best portraits. For this Honor collaborated with Paris-based Studio Harcourt which is known for their stunning portraits with the use of light. However, the Honor 200 is a lot more than a camera phone, a fact we discovered after spending ample time reviewing the smartphone.

Honor makes some of the classiest phones around, be it their shape, slim bezels or the materials used. The phones are a joy to hold, with impressive tactility. The Honor 200 impresses in this aspect. It is a slim smartphone with 3D curved glass and a textured glass back — we had the Moonlight White which has shimmering wave patterns on the glass.

The phone has a 6.75-inch AMOLED display with 4,000 nits of peak brightness. The display is bright and vibrant and can easily rival top end phones four times its price. The 120Hz refresh rate ensures seamless scrolling and makes playing games a lag-free affair.

It runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 flagship chip. While the phone comes with an 8GB/256GB configuration, we reviewed the 12GB RAM with 512GB of internal storage version. The phone uses MagicOS 8, powered by Android 14 and comes bundled with free two years of software updates and three years of security patches. The phone offers lag-free performance and you can run games on it with ease.

It gets a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultra wide camera and a 50MP portrait telephoto camera besides a 50MP front pinhole camera. The lenses run on Sony sensors and use MagicUI. You can shoot macro using the ultrawide camera as well. Daylight shots are fantastic thanks to the AI mode which boosts colours according to the environment. The night mode works well but could do with bit more sharpness around the edges. For videos, it can record upto 4K at 30 fps from the front and rear cameras.

It gets a 5200mAh silicon-carbon battery with AI power-saving which easily lasts a day with regular use. The phone supports 100W SuperCharge fast charging which can charge up to 100 percent in around 45 minutes. Overall, the Honor 200 is a good phone to have if you like clicking portraits.
