Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has announced the achievement of sales of five million Activas in Maharashtra over 25 years, which marks a major milestone for the brand in one of the major two-wheeler markets in India.
Honda says that the milestone achieved is fueled by the constant demand for the Activa across Maharashtra’s key markets like Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Thane and Navi Mumbai. These major cities continue to play a major role in the sales, where scooters are an important part of everyday mobility.
The Activa sales in the state have been backed up by a wide availability of dealer networks. Over 700 sales and service centres provide easy access and ease of use of the product for the customer.
Additionally, the strong resale value has contributed to its immense popularity. Honda says that the customers in Maharashtra view the Activa as a long-term investment, which provides a perfect balance between performance, efficiency and easy ownership experience. Launched in 2001, the Honda Activa remains one of the most sold and most trusted scooters in its segment.
