Riders in the Himalayan region mount Tibetan prayer flags on their motorcycles as a prayer for safe journeys, protection from danger, and to spread peace and compassion. Hero MotoCorp has introduced ‘Prayer For Safety’, where these flags serve a dual purpose—as both a symbol and a first-aid kit.
Each prayer flag contains basic medical supplies for minor injuries during rides. Many riders in the Himalayas travel with minimal safety gear, despite unpredictable weather, rough roads, and distant medical help. To address this, Hero integrates a first-aid kit within an item riders already use via the Prayer For Safety initiative.
These modified prayer flags have been distributed across key biking hubs, cafés and designated dispensers in the Himalayan region, making them easily accessible and also improving basic preparedness for riders.
