Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Glamour X 125 at a starting price of ₹89,999 ex-showroom. The new Glamour comes with some elegant features, which are also the first in the 125cc segment in India. Features like ride-by-wire, cruise control, three ride modes, and a Panic brake alert system make the Glamour X 125 a motorcycle to look out for in the 125cc category. It also comes with what Hero is calling a Low Battery Kick Startability system, which we will soon tell you more about as we will be riding the bike tomorrow.
Powering the Glamour X 125 is the same engine that features in the Hero Xtreme 125R, and in the Glamour X it produces 11.5PS and 10.5Nm. Hero has tuned the cam profile and optimised gear ratios for better throttle response, while a new cam chain and balancer shaft aid NVH levels. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox that sends power and torque to the 18-inch rear wheel. Telescopic front forks and twin preload-adjustable shock absorbers deal with suspension duties. The Glamour X also gets a full digital instrument console with a multi-colour LCD with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. It also receives all LED lighting setup. In terms of practicality, the Glamour X has an under-seat utility box to store two mobile phones, and a USB-C charging port.
The Glamour X 125 will be available in two variants, a Drum brake version, which is priced at ₹89,999, and a Disc brake variant, priced at ₹99,999. Bookings for the bike will commence tonight, with deliveries scheduled to begin at a later date.
