Harley-Davidson is offering excellent discounts on some of its models and the price benefits are more than Rs 4 lakh on all of those. While Harley-Davidson is and has been for a long time one of the most aspirational brands in the world, a discount brings the price down to the reach for a larger number of customers.
The first one up is the Harley-Davidson Nightster. The old ex-showroom price was Rs 14.99 lakh, but the current price is Rs 10.69 lakh, ex-showroom, which translates to a discount of Rs 4.30 lakh. The Nightster is powered by the Revolution Max 975T engine, which is a 957cc liquid-cooled V-twin that pumps out 89PS and 95Nm.
Next in line is the Harley-Davidson Sportster S, which used to have an ex-showroom price of Rs 16.51 lakh, but now costs Rs 12.06 lakh, ex-showroom. The benefits amount to Rs 4.45 lakh. It gets the Revolution Max 1250T engine, a liquid-cooled V-twin displacing 1,252cc and pushes out 121PS and 125Nm.
Finally, we have the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Special, which with a discount of Rs 4.90 lakh now costs Rs 16.09 lakh instead of Rs 20.99 lakh, all prices ex-showroom. The Pan America has a Revolution Max 1250 engine, with a higher compression ratio than the one on the Sportster S (13:1 compared to 12:1) and pumps out 150PS and 128Nm.
Even discounted, the prices are out of reach for a lot of buyers in India, and for that Harley-Davidson has the X440, a motorcycle co-developed with Hero MotoCorp that has a starting price of Rs 2.39 lakh and goes up to Rs 2.79 lakh for the top-end variant, all prices ex-showroom.
