The Dell Alienware AW2725DF QD-OLED is a 27-inch gaming monitor but stands apart from the rest of the OLED gaming monitors by going beyond the benchmark refresh rate of 240Hz to set a new one at an impressive 360Hz. In fact, it is the world’s first 360Hz OLED gaming monitor.
The monitor looks as impressive as it performs with its all-black construction and thin black bezels. It has a sturdy hexagonal base with a heavy aluminium support tower. The screen back has cool hidden ventilation louvres as well as illuminated number 27 and Alienware logo both of which can be customised to RGB lighting. The stand offers height and tilt adjustment besides the ability to swivel the monitor to a vertical orientation.
The panel features multiple input connections in the form of an HDMI 2.1 connector, three USB-A ports, a USB-B jack, and a USB-C port. It also gets two DisplayPorts which will give you the best performance.
On to the screen, OLED screens are known to trump other screens with their ability to display true black colours and maximum contrast ratios. This coupled with the 360hz refresh rate unlocks a new level of hyperrealism in gaming and makes it quite an immersive experience. On the face of it, the Dell Alienware AW2725DF QD-OLED is expensive for a 27-inch monitor when you can get a high-end 32-inch curved monitor for less. However, the monitor justifies its pricetag in the form of high refresh rate and an infinite gamut of vibrant colours.
