The post OnePlus Pad 4 Review first appeared on Turbocharged.

]]>
The OnePlus Pad 4 feels like a proper premium Android tablet, and OnePlus seems like it hasn’t cut corners while making this one. It looks clean and slim. The metal unibody design gives it a solid feel, although at around 672 grams, you do notice the weight after long use. However, the tablet is just 5.9mm thin and the bezels are slim enough without becoming annoying while holding it horizontally.

OnePlus

On the front, the Pad 4 shines bright with a large 13.2-inch 3.4K IPS LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2400 x 3392 resolution with 315 ppi density. It is bright, sharp and very smooth while scrolling or gaming and the colours look good too. The only thing some users may complain about is the LCD panel instead of OLED/AMOLED, especially at this price range. But honestly, this is one of the better LCD displays on an Android tablet. Watching content feels very immersive and the output 8-speaker setup is surprisingly loud and clear.

OnePlus

Performance is flagship-grade. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset handles pretty much everything without stress. Be it gaming, multitasking, editing, split-screen apps, all run smoothly. OnePlus offers 8GB RAM with 256GB storage and a higher 12GB + 512GB variant. Storage is fast UFS 4.1, and OxygenOS 16 delivers a clean and responsive experience.

In the camera department, there is a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The rear camera works fine for document scans and occasional quick shots in good lighting, but image quality drops indoors. The front camera is decent for video calls and meetings, though still not exceptional. Tablets are rarely camera-first devices and the Pad 4 doesn’t try to overpower with its camera setup either.

OnePlus

Battery life is one of its stronger areas. The 13,380mAh battery comfortably lasts more than a day with mixed use. The standby battery drain is very low too. The 80W fast-charging helps a lot because charging a battery this large could otherwise take a long time.

OnePlus

Overall, the OnePlus Pad 4 comes across as a premium, well-built Android tablet which features great hardware, a crisp display and delivers performance that you would need from a tablet in the premium segment. Be it watching and scrolling through content or just regular use for work and otherwise. The Pad 4 comes with a promise of smooth performance and excellent battery life.

Motorola Signature Review https://turbocharged.in/motorola-signature-review/ Thu, 21 May 2026 11:01:50 +0000 https://turbocharged.in/?p=19382 Competitive performance packed in a sleek form factor

The post Motorola Signature Review first appeared on Turbocharged.

]]>
Currently, the premium smartphone segment has a lot in common. Apart from the elevated price tags, the segment is seeing smartphones with bigger and bulkier frames, larger batteries and heftier cameras. Of course, the idea is to provide value for your money and let you have what you pay for. The Motorola Signature positions itself as a premium smartphone but stays away from an account-denting price tag (more on that later), and also manages to capture the user’s interest with its premium design, sleek form factor, hardware and overall performance. How? We talk about it in this review.

Motorola

Design-wise, the Motorola Signature looks different from the rest of the competition. The smartphone comes in a very thin profile, which measures just 6.99mm. The frame is crafted out of aircraft-grade aluminium, while the display slightly curves at the sides. The Signature weighs 186 grams, making it one of the lightest phones in the segment. Available in two colours – Martini Olive and Carbon, the olive option gets a twill-like weave on the back while the Carbon gets a textile-inspired texture, making it quite unique, both in looks and feel. The rear panel also houses the camera island, which houses all the sensors and the LED flash. On the front, you get Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and the smartphone is IP69 and IP69 rated with water resistance of up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1.2 metres. Additionally, it also comes with MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification (for harsh outdoor conditions).

Signature aces the display game with the 6.8-inch 1.5K LTPO Extreme AMOLED display, which offers up to 165Hz of refresh rate, Dolby Vision and 6,200 nits of peak brightness. The colours are punchy, and the blacks are deep, which enhances the viewing experience. With Dolby Vision and HDR10+, you can view HDR content on streaming platforms like Netflix and YouTube. However, the 165Hz screen refresh rate is active only while gaming and not during regular usage. Using the phone outdoors is also not a problem, as the 6,200 nits of peak brightness make it easy to see even under direct sunlight. Moving on, the audio quality is quite impressive from the stereo speaker setup on the Motorola Signature. The sound is from Bose and Dolby Atmos. There are speaker grill cutouts both on the top and bottom of the device, and the loudness can fill a small room.

Motorola

The Motorola Signature runs on Hello UI, which is based on Android 16. Motorola says that it will provide up to seven years of OS and security updates. However, the talking point is the clean and bloatware-free UI experience. You also get Moto Secure 5.0 with ThinkShield and Moto Unplugged, which brings digital well-being tools. Additionally, the  Signature Club application is a digital concierge service that offers several privileges, including travel booking assistance, airport meet-and-greet services, golf course reservations, and access to exclusive events. However, there is a payment involved for utilising these services, and Motorola is providing a ₹6,000 welcome benefit for the same.

Coming to the heart of the device, which is the processor. Powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, which in real-world usage keeps the device from lagging or stuttering in day-to-day usage. The phone feels smooth and responsive to use, while launching apps takes no time, even with multiple applications open in the background. The phone can also handle graphics-intensive gaming like Call of Duty Mobile, BGMI, and Asphalt. However, with extended periods of gaming, the smartphone tends to get quite hot.

Coming to the cameras, the Motorola Signature comes with a triple-camera setup at the rear and a single front camera peeking through the punched hole on the display. The rear setup includes a 50MP f/1.6 primary sensor, 50MP periscope telephoto sensor and 50MP ultrawide sensor. The front camera, too, is a 50MP unit. The images from the primary camera looked sharp, detailed and had punchy colours in daylight conditions. Lowlight performance is also decent and well-balanced between highlight and shadow details. The telephoto sensor also delivers satisfactory results. You can shoot up to 100x, but that would be too far of a throw for a small sensor. Images shot with up to 6x zoom carry enough details with less noise. The wide-angle camera captures detailed images with less distortion. The front camera does a good job of taking selfies. Video performance is not held back either. The Motorola Signature can record footage up to 8K Dolby Vision at 30fps. Video stabilisation is also good, and all the sensors can shoot 4K 60fps.

Motorola

The battery performance of the Motorola Signature did not fail to impress. The 5,200mAh battery supports 90W fast-charging with the supplied charger in the box and 50W wireless charging. The phone lasts a full day of normal usage that includes music, content and social media scrolling.  The phone can charge from 0 to 100 percent in about an hour.

The Motorola Signature stands out among premium smartphones with its performance, as the company has packed flagship-level tech and features into it. The handset comes in a premium-looking and sleek package and excels in day-to-day tasks. Camera and battery performance also deserve a mention. If you are looking for a flagship phone with good cameras and decent battery life, the Motorola Signature is a good choice, especially for a price of ₹69,999 for the 16GB RAM/1TB storage variant, while the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage costs ₹10,000 less.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Review https://turbocharged.in/samsung-galaxy-s26-ultra-review/ Mon, 20 Apr 2026 14:09:49 +0000 https://turbocharged.in/?p=18992 Samsung's Flagship Android smartphone packs in a bigger punch now

The post Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Review first appeared on Turbocharged.

]]>
Words: Abhay Verma

In case you didn’t know, Samsung’s Ultra series is a mix of the best of its S Series and the Note series of smartphones that were popular a few years ago. The S26 Ultra is the Korean smartphone maker’s latest flagship, and as is tradition, it’s also a showcase of Samsung’s cutting-edge technology and prowess in making the best Android smartphones. The S26 Ultra looks similar to the S25 at first glance, but packs in a lot of new technology, especially Artificial Intelligence, helping it establish itself as a significant upgrade. The phone is nice to hold and also feels light, perhaps because the frame uses aluminium now. The raised cameras mean the phone always sits tilted when placed on your desk though, unless you use a case, which looks odd.

Samsung

The 6.9-inch display looks crisp and touch sensitivity is very fluid. There’s some interesting feature additions as well, like the Privacy Display. It isn’t just a gimmick, and ensures pesky co-travellers on a flight or the colleague next to you in office aren’t exactly able to view your screen. The display basically reduces the brightness of some pixels to have the screen viewable only to the person holding the phone. Video stabilisation and faster charging are some of the other features I’m liking too, but I’ll talk about those later because this time I’m keen on talking about the camera performance.

Samsung

The setup hasn’t changed much but the difference in results is telling. I used the S26 Ultra extensively on my trip to Vietnam, including some wildlife photography, and the results, especially in portrait mode, are excellent. Images are crisp with sharp detailing, though colour saturation is on the higher side. Admittedly, the S26 Ultra makes light of helping you click high quality images quickly though. Low light performance is excellent too and so is the ultrawide camera, as you can see in the image below. Details are captured well and dynamic range is good too. Video quality is good, especially in 4K resolution, though at times I found that autofocus shifts focus unwantedly.

Samsung

Battery performance is excellent – the 5,000mAh battery ensures this powerhouse of a smartphone goes on for more than a day, while 60W fast charging helps you juice up the phone quickly. The S26 Ultra also supports 25W wireless charging which is brilliant. Some may find it too similar to the S25 Ultra in terms of feel and performance, but spending time with it does help you notice the upgrades.

Rynox’s first dual-sport adventure comes with a class AA CE certification and is designed to suit a wide range of riding conditions riders face. The jacket is designed to provide abrasion resistance and impact protection, along with adaptive motion technology that use nylon and polyester panels which can stretch in any direction allowing unrestricted movement for the wearer. The jacket has a clinchless fit and skips on the velcro adjusters.

Rynox

Utility is well thought of and the jacket features ventilation panels for airflow and has a hydration bladder pocket, two pockets for storage, and jacket-to-pants connection zipper which prevents the jacket from sliding up in case of a fall. For protection, the jacket uses Cerros Level 2 armours on the back, shoulder, elbow and chest.

Along with the jacket, Rynox has also introduced the Outlander Pro riding pants. These pants are also Class AA CE certified, while the same adaptive motion technology and a tailored fit makes sure the rider is comfortable when wearing the pants for longer durations. The ventilation panels provide adequate airflow when riding and the pants claim a high amount of abrasion resistance in the event of a crash.

Rynox

For impact protection, the pants feature CE Level 2 armour on the hips and on the knees. Two storage pockets including a waterproof pocket are available for you to carry important items. The pants also come with a jacket-to-pants connection zipper. For visibility, Rynox has given the Outlander Pro pants retro-reflective trims which ensure the rider is visible.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Review https://turbocharged.in/samsung-galaxy-s26-review-2/ Mon, 20 Apr 2026 10:57:18 +0000 https://turbocharged.in/?p=18998 Tiny but Potent

The post Samsung Galaxy S26 Review first appeared on Turbocharged.

]]>
The first thing that struck me about the Samsung Galaxy S26 was just how small it is. Screen size powercreep is real, and it had been making my fingers stretch out in unconventional ways they were never designed to, for the longest time. So, when I finally held the S26, it was like my fingers found their home position, a factory reset to default stretch levels. There were many other positives too, and we shall get into those shortly, but nothing was as transcendent as the physical size of the phone.

The purple colour our media unit came in was beautiful, and everything about the phone spoke of quality. Galaxies hold their value almost as good as iPhones, and this is the reason. The sharp edges with rounded corners, and the overall fit and finish was top notch. The build quality is solid too, though the light weight of the phone masks that feeling of solidity that’s prevalent in Apple devices.

Samsung

The display is another aspect of the phone that immediately grabs attention, being exceptionally bright and vibrant even when the backlight intensity is dialled down. This feeling of sharpness is heightened by the super-thin bezels.

The camera setup is the same as the Galaxy S25, comprising a 50MP primary, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP front unit. However, it still delivers excellent picture quality, smooth zoom, and highly accurate colour representation, to the extent that we have used photos taken on it for print in this very magazine!

Performance of the phone, as is expected of a Samsung Galaxy series device, is smoother by orders of magnitude compared to even its own lesser phones. There’s a fluidity to the UX which makes every swap, every transition feel like water flowing down the river. Even under heavy multitasking, with more than 25 open apps, that smoothness remains. And this experience elevates the user experience to another level, something that befits a device of its stature.

Another impressive aspect of the phone is the battery life. The battery easily lasted an entire day, with enough juice remaining to run it a few more hours if required. While there are no longer official chargers in the box, my GaN charger of 35W was able to juice it up to 80 percent SoC from below 10 in a little over half an hour.

Samsung

Overall, the Galaxy S26 solves an actual problem, where to get the best hardware you also had to go for a gigantic device, which is not the case with the S26, which offers top-tier hardware in a compact and lightweight form.

Samsung Galaxy S26+ Review https://turbocharged.in/samsung-galaxy-s26-review/ Fri, 03 Apr 2026 11:25:15 +0000 https://turbocharged.in/?p=18518 Samsung’s Galaxy S26+ is a balanced flagship for the informed buyer

The post Samsung Galaxy S26+ Review first appeared on Turbocharged.

Photography: Swapnil Dhawale

The Samsung Galaxy S26+ does not aim to reinvent itself and it shares a lot of its features with the standard S26. Nevertheless, the design still feels polished and premium, sticking to what has already worked well with the Samsung’s flagship series.

However, there are minor updates, like the rear camera module that looks a bit more refined, and the overall build quality feels strong. It feels sturdy in hand and is built to handle everyday use without much concern. The velvety finish on the back of the phone, does a decent job of keeping fingerprints and dust away. But those with sweaty palms might find holding it a bit annoying and using it with a case is what I did too. Despite the large size, it is comfortable enough for long use.

Samsung

The display is easily one of the main highlights. The 6.7-inch AMOLED screen delivers bright and sharp visuals, with colours that look rich without being overdone, whether you’re indoors or outside in bright light. The experience is smooth, and while the specs haven’t changed much, it still feels like a proper flagship display. Samsung could have added the privacy display just like its flagship S26 Ultra, but that would have bumped the price considerably, and so it feels like a conscious decision. The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor works quickly and reliably, and performs better than the face unlock in my opinion.

The camera system follows the same pattern of familiarity. It doesn’t bring major hardware changes, but the output remains solid. Photos in daylight are detailed, with accurate colours and a good balance of highlights and shadows. Indoors, the camera maintains clarity, though images can look warm. Low-light photography is handled well, with a focus on keeping colours natural. Night mode improves brightness and contrast without going overboard.

However, for someone who is well versed with smartphone photography, can tell you that the software works on the images to an extent. The zoom is usable for casual shots, but quality starts to drop after 10x, making the 3x optical zoom the most reliable option and of course the most used as well. The front camera does a good job for selfies, shooting clear images with natural skin tones. Video features like Horizon Lock add useful stability, especially when shooting on the move. It’s not a standout feature, but it works well in real-world use. For videos, it works absolutely flawlessly and we have shot a lot of content for our social media with the S26+. The 4K 60fps video is smooth and the image stabilisation works flawlessly, making the videos free of shakes and jerks, as you would expect it from a high voltage launch event.

Samsung

Battery life is dependable, thanks to the 4,900mAh unit. It comfortably lasts a full day with typical usage. Charging speed is fast, though not the fastest, it gets the job done of juicing the phone quickly when needed.  Performance is smooth and consistent, backed by Samsung’s One UI. The software remains feature-rich while still being easy to navigate. AI-based features are present, but they feel like additions rather than major changes, keeping the overall experience familiar.

In the end, the Galaxy S26+ is about getting the basics right and it delivers a reliable flagship experience for the daily user. Sitting between the standard model and the Ultra, it can feel like the safe middle option. Still, for those who want a no-nonsense flagship that performs well in all key areas, the S26+ remains a strong and sensible choice, especially at a starting price of ₹1.10 lakh.

Castrol All-in-One Helmet Cleaner And Microfibre Cloth Review https://turbocharged.in/castrol-all-in-one-helmet-cleaner-and-microfibre-cloth-review/ Mon, 30 Mar 2026 10:22:00 +0000 https://turbocharged.in/?p=18460 Castrol’s all-in-one helmet cleaner is quick and easy to use

As the mercury rises, motorcycle riders face an issue which is crucial to address. As much as wearing a helmet is important, keeping it clean inside-out is a task, often neglected, which often requires removing the inner paddings and giving them a wash with light detergents which do not damage the fabric or the padding. With the task requiring dedicated time, riders often ignore the cleaning and thus subject themselves to bacteria and odour causing other dermatological problems for some.

Castrol has come up with a solution. The automobile lubricant manufacturer has introduced an all-in-one helmet cleaner spray, specifically formulated to make helmet cleaning easy. The best part however is its ability to clean both the inside and outside of the helmet and also kill the harmful bacteria which accumulates over time due to sweating.

I tested it on my helmet which is used on a regular basis. The weather in Pune makes sure I sweat inside the helmet and often causes the sweat to dry and create some odour. Imagine wearing a helmet with the lid closed. The method is simple and easy – spray the product which creates the foam. I have been generous and sprayed a healthy amount of the product on the inside padding and let it sit for about five minutes before wiping it off. Same procedure for the outside as well.

To my surprise, the cleaner did exactly as it should. The visible grime, dust and the odour was completely gone and the helmet looked fresh. Castrol claims that the cleaner kills 99.99 percent of the bacteria, however there is no way for me to test that. But from my experience, twice, it works flawlessly. It is also dermatologically tested, which means the product will cause no allergies and leaves behind a pleasant fragrance making it smell fresh. Upon generous usage, one can extract three usages per can, which in my opinion is great for the price of ₹250 for a 113gram pack.

Additionally, Castrol has also introduced its own microfibre cloth, specially designed for automotive usage. Pair it with the helmet cleaner, and it leaves no marks or fibre particles, leaving behind a clean finish and a spanking clean helmet which is ready to go. The microfibre cloth is priced ₹500 for a pack of three and I can assure you for its brilliant quality and the soft choice of fabric.

Apple MacBook Neo Launched At ₹69,900 https://turbocharged.in/apple-macbook-neo-launched-at-%e2%82%b969900/ Thu, 05 Mar 2026 11:20:58 +0000 https://turbocharged.in/?p=18215 The MacBook Neo is Apple’s most affordable MacBook ever

Apple has launched the MacBook Neo, its first-ever MacBook, which is targeted at budget-conscious buyers. It now takes the position of being the entry-level MacBook in the lineup. Prices of the MacBook Neo start at ₹69,900.

The MacBook Neo is not just affordable, but Apple is also offering it in multiple colours – indigo, citrus, blush and silver. However, despite its cheaper price tag, Apple has not cut too many corners. It features Apple’s sleek design and is made out of recycled aluminium with a fanless design. The 13-inch Liquid Retina Display with 2408×1506 pixels resolution and 500 nits of peak brightness. However, it lacks the ProMotion high-refresh rate to help keep the costs low.

Neo

Powering the MacBook Neo is the Apple A18 Pro chip, moving away from the M-series chips used in the MacBook and MacBook Pro. The A18 Pro comes with a 6-core CPU and a 5-core GPU. The base variant gives you 256GB of storage and the higher variant gets 512GB. The RAM is fixed at 8GB. The 36.5Wh battery is claimed to deliver 16 hours of video streaming on a single charge. You also get a 20W charger in the box.

To make the MacBook Neo affordable, Apple has skipped on a few items like a backlit keyboard and the MagSafe charging port. Additionally, it gets an HD camera, two speakers and two USB Type-C ports (USB 3 and USB 2). The Touch ID is available only on the 512GB storage variant.

The MacBook Neo starts at ₹69,900 and ₹79,900 for the 512GB storage variant. Interested buyers can pre-book the Neo on Apple’s website and will be available for purchase starting 11 March 2026.

The post Apple iPhone 17e, iPad Air M4 and MacBook Air M5 Launched first appeared on Turbocharged.

Apple has launched multiple new products, the main highlight being the iPhone 17e, iPad Air M4 and the MacBook Air M5. The price for the iPhone 17e starts at ₹64,900 for the base variant, which now starts with 256GB, which is double the storage offered for the base variant last year.

The iPhone 17e is powered by Apple’s A19 chip, which is built on the 3nm architecture. Apple claims that with the A19, it offers double the CPU performance when compared to the iPhone 11, along with improved power efficiency. It also features the new C1X modem, which is said to be twice as fast as the C1. The iPhone 17e is also claimed to offer an all-day battery life rated up to 26 hours of video playback.

Apple

However, one of the biggest changes is the addition of the MagSafe with Qi2 wireless charging support, with speeds up to 15W and wired fast-charging support via USB-C. Apple claims up to a 50 per cent charge in around 30 minutes using a 20W adapter or higher. Apart from the base 256GB variant, Apple is also offering a 512GB storage variant of the 17e, which is priced at ₹84,990. It is available in three colours – black, white and soft pink.

The design of the Apple iPhone 17e remains unchanged from its predecessor. It features an aerospace-grade aluminium frame and is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. It retains the same 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with up to 1200 nits of peak brightness, and the display is protected by Ceramic Shield 2. However, it only gets a 60Hz refresh rate and misses out on the ProMotion.

Coming to the camera, it features the 48MP Fusion camera (only a single camera unit on the 17e) and optical-quality 2X Telephoto. Users can shoot 48MP hi-res photos using 24MP default resolution to strike a balance between image quality and file size. The Portrait mode also gets an update with the next-generation depth capture, which automatically works on people, dogs and cats, allowing you to blur the background post capture. You also get 4K Dolby Vision video capture at 60fps with spatial sound and wind-noise reduction.

Apple

Adding to the launches is the new Apple iPad Air, which is now powered by Apple’s M4 silicon. The mid-range tablet from the Cupertino-based manufacturer is priced at ₹64,900 for the 11-inch variant and ₹84,900 for the 13-inch variant. Apple says that the upgrade to the M4 chip gives the new iPad Air a 30 per cent bump in performance over its predecessor. It packs an 8-core CPU,  a 9-core GPU, along with hardware-accelerated ray-tracing and a 16-core Neural Engine. The unified memory has also been bumped to 12GB from 8GB. Additionally, Apple has also given its in-house N1 wireless chip and C1X cellular modem to the iPad Air lineup, adding WI-Fi 7 support and Bluetooth 6. It is available in four colours – blue, purple, starlight and space grey.

Apple

Coming to the MacBook Air series, Apple has refreshed the MacBook Air with the M5 chip, doubling the base storage capacity to 512GB (configurable to up to 4TB storage) while adding Wi-Fi 7 support. The M5 chip packs a 10-core CPU and up to a 10-core GPU. It still retains the similar thin and lightweight fanless design as well as both the 13-inch and 15-inch display sizes. It also has the same 12MP Centre Stage camera, MagSafe charging, two Thunderbolt 4 ports and dual external display support. It runs the latest macOS Tahoe, which brings in the Liquid Glass design and Apple Intelligence integration. The new MacBook Air with M5 has a starting price of ₹1,19,900 for the 13-inch model and ₹1,44,900 for the 15-inch variant.
