BMW Motorrad has launched the updated BMW S 1000 XR at Rs. 22.50 lakh (ex-showroom), featuring enhancements in power, ergonomics, and styling. The reworked in-line 4-cylinder engine now delivers 170PS, 5PS more than before, and 114Nm of torque, enabling a claimed 0-100kph acceleration in 3.25 seconds. Stylistically, the bike boasts refreshed side panels, air-intakes, and beak fender. It offers a seat height of 850mm, adjustable for lower positions. Standard equipment includes touring and dynamic packages with DRLs, keyless drive, and a USB charger. An optional M-sport package is available, featuring exclusive paintwork and additional features.

BMW Motorrad also launched the M 1000 XR, featuring the Shift Cam engine from the S 1000 RR, producing 201PS at 12,750 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm, which is 31PS more than the S 1000 XR. Advanced electronics offer multiple riding modes, Dynamic Traction Control, Brake Slide Assist, Shift Assistant Pro, Launch Control, and Hill Start Control Pro. Aerodynamically enhanced with M winglets, the bike has M brakes, aluminium forged wheels, and optional M Carbon wheels. The M 1000 XR features iconic adaptive headlights, a 6.5-inch TFT display, Keyless Ride, and electronic cruise control.
