BMW R 1300 GS: Launched

BMW introduces the all-new R 1300 GS in India, showcasing their biggest engine, added features and customization.

BMW has launched the all-new R 1300 GS in India, priced at Rs 20,95,000 (ex-showroom). This model boasts BMW’s largest twin-cylinder boxer engine, delivering 145PS at 7,750rpm and 149Nm at 6,500rpm.

The R 1300 GS features a new design that reduces weight by 12kg compared to its predecessor. It is equipped with innovative LED matrix headlights. Standard safety and control features include Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR), Dynamic Brake Assist (DBC), and Hill Start Control (HSC).

The motorcycle is available in three distinctive styles: Triple Black, GS Trophy, and Option 719 Tramuntana, the latter of which includes the Riding Assistant suite of features. 

Style Triple Black: This variant features an all-black design, including the rear frame and luggage carrier. It also includes Comfort seats, Comfort passenger footrests, a center stand, an electrically adjustable high windshield, cockpit trim, wind deflectors, and new black cross-spoke wheels. Optional Adaptive Height Control is available.

Style GS Trophy: This variant sports a Racing Blue metallic finish with red and white accents, a rear frame in white metallic matte, a high rider’s comfort seat, a Sport passenger seat, radiator guards, and robust gold cross-spoke wheels for superior off-road performance.

Option 719 Tramuntana merges gold cross-spoke wheels with black main and rear frames, powertrain, and luggage carrier. It also incorporates Riding Assistant with ACC, FCW, and Lane Change Warning for enhanced safety and convenience.

The R 1300 GS comes standard with Connectivity, including a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT screen. The standard BMW Motorrad Multi-Controller provides access to vehicle and connectivity functions. It also comes with a comfort and touring package with features specific to both.

The all-new BMW R 1300 GS will be sold in India as a Completely Built-up Unit (CBU), with deliveries set to commence this month.
