Bass Battery Budget Champ

The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 offers battery life that puts more expensive buds to shame.

OnePlus launched the OnePlus Nord Buds 3, the latest in line of the brand’s TWS earbuds. They serve as the successor to the Nord Buds 2 which were launched last year. The Buds 3 comes with 12.4mm titanium drivers and up to 32dB of active noise cancellation (ANC) and a claimed battery life of up to 43 hours which is a huge improvement over the previous version. Although they look similar to the Nord Buds 3 Pro but misses out on a few features that the pro offers and the only differentiating feature is the colourways, which are Harmonic Gray and Melodic White.

The earphones sit comfortably in the ear and the silicon tips make it comfortable for wearing for longer periods. The buds came with only one extra pair of silicon trips, I would have appreciated them more if they came with different sized ear tips making them more usable for people with different ear canal sizes, but overall they are pretty comfortable.

Coming to the sound, The lows and highs are pretty decent considering the price range it falls under but it really lacks the mids. Heavy bass makes the mids even more muffled but with the ANC activated the sound is still pretty decent to the ears. The Buds 3 come with customisable touch controls which can be customised via the Hey Melody app where you can also see the battery level and also use the equaliser to make the sound as per your preference and actually comes as a saviour for people who like less bass. The ANC worked well in varied conditions, we tried it during our flights, calls in crowded areas and also in rooms with heavy echo and they performed better than a lot of other budget ANC earbuds. But the star of the show has to be the battery life. I charged the earphones once and it has been more than 15 days of on and off usage.

At Rs. 2299/- The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 offer great value and with the brilliant battery life they have made a place in my list of must have day to day gadgets.
