The Infinix GT 30 Pro presents a focused gaming proposition with decisive priorities. Priced from ₹22,999 onwards, it carves out a solid niche in the budget gaming segment and packs remarkable gaming performance. This also happens to be the first-ever smartphone to ship with MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8350 chipset.

The 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with 10-bit color and 144Hz refresh rate delivers smooth gaming visuals. Being an AMOLED, the display boasts great colour accuracy and makes consuming content a treat. The high refresh rate helps make gaming particularly immersive while Corning’s Gorilla Glass 7i protects the screen. This is the ‘Blade White’ colourway and the GT 30 Pro is also available in a ‘Dark Flare’ variant as well which exclusively gets RGB lighting effects integrated into the stylised back panel. The Blade White variant makes do with white LEDs for the lighting effects. We like this one better and it also gets eye-catching red highlights on its shimmery, frosted silver back panel.

The Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset handles most gaming scenarios competently, while configurations offering up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of fast UFS 4.0 storage provide adequate space for multitasking and storage respectively. It supports 120FPS for certain games. Extended gaming sessions do cause the device to heat up a little but the phone’s dedicated vapour cooling chamber ensures that the heat levels never get uncomfortable. The dedicated GT Triggers are ergonomically placed and add genuine value for supported gaming titles such as CoD and BGMI. The plastic chassis ensures a 189g weight, however it manages to feels sturdy yet premium.

The 5500mAh battery provides reasonable endurance for gaming sessions, though impressive battery life claims require context. The 45W wired charging, 30W wireless and bypass charging capabilities offer convenience. The bypass charging feature proves useful during extended gaming, helping manage heat generation.

The main camera has a 108MP sensor, though performance varies across different lighting conditions. Low-light photography is not its strong suit, and the lack of OIS might be a drawback for some. Video recording and ultrawide functionality serve basic utility needs, but then again, the GT 30 Pro prioritises gaming performance over other aspects.

The GT 30 Pro runs the company’s custom XOS skin (version 15.0.3) on top of Android 15, with gaming-focused features working effectively. A built-in optimisation software called XBoost AI helps customise and enhance the gaming experience. It provides access to customizable Performance Modes and Quick Access Tools for convenience. There is a dedicated Esports Mode which boosts performance while blocking distractions like notifications. Users can fettle the touch response using Touch Optimization and ZoneTouch Master options on the fly.

The Infinix GT 30 Pro comes across as a compelling buy for gamers on a budget, provided expectations align with its specialized approach. The device succeeds as a dedicated gaming phone while making considerations in other areas. Budget-conscious gamers will find it delivers amply on core gaming performance as promised.

Nissan Celebrates 2,00,000 Magnite Sales https://turbocharged.in/nissan-celebrates-200000-magnite-sales/ https://turbocharged.in/nissan-celebrates-200000-magnite-sales/#respond Wed, 04 Jun 2025 13:09:00 +0000 https://turbocharged.in/?p=14434 Made exclusively in India, the Nissan Magnite is now exported to more than 65 countries

The post Nissan Celebrates 2,00,000 Magnite Sales first appeared on Turbocharged.

]]>
The Made-in-India Nissan Magnite compact SUV has crossed the 2,00,000-unit sales milestone. This figure represents both domestic as well as export sales cumulatively. The Magnite is manufactured at Renault’s (earlier jointly owned by the Renault-Nissan alliance) plant in Chennai and is truly a world-class product which adheres to Nissan’s ‘One Car, One World’ philosophy. It is exported in both LHD and RHD guises as per the company’s ‘Make in India, Make for the World” strategy. The export operations have now been expanded from 20 to over 65 global markets.

Launched in 2020 and updated extensively last year, the Magnite is aimed at urban buyers and is based on the Renault-Nissan alliance’s CMF-A+ platform. It has been offered with naturally-aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines while also offering the choice between manual, AMT and CVT gearboxes. Last year’s facelift thoroughly revamped the interior and the features list of the Magnite, bringing it in line with contemporary consumer demands. The Magnite boasts over 55 safety features and a 4-star GNCAP rating. A government-approved CNG retrofit kit has also been launched recently. Customers opting for the naturally-aspirated engine and manual gearbox equipped Magnite can specify the CNG kit at the dealer level, which will then be fitted at a government-authorised fitment centre.

Amidst rumours surfacing of Nissan exiting India, the company has staunchly defended its commitment to the Indian market and has conclusively dispelled such hearsay. On the contrary, Nissan has confirmed that a 7-seater MPV, which will share its platform with the Renault Triber, should be launched in Q1 of 2026. Furthermore, an all-new 5-seater midsize SUV is also expected to be launched in 2026. Likely to come with a design inspired by the full-size Nissan Patrol SUV, the midsize SUV is also expected to spawn a 7-seater variant, which should be launched some time in 2027.

The post Volkswagen Golf GTI Launched at ₹53 lakh first appeared on Turbocharged.

]]>
The Volkswagen Golf GTI has been launched at an introductory price of ₹53 lakh, ex-showroom, making it the most expensive Volkswagen currently on sale in India. Volkswagen’s celebrated hot hatch is taking the CBU route and will be imported in limited numbers. The initial batch of 150 cars has already been spoken for and the company is expected to bring in more units as per demand. The coveted GTI moniker thus returns to India after a 9-year hiatus, being first introduced with the Polo GTI. The two-door Polo GTI was also sold in limited numbers and like the Golf GTI, it was also imported as a CBU vehicle.

The Golf GTI gets its power from Volkswagen’s trusty EA888 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. In this particular application, the engine churns out 265PS and 370Nm. Volkswagen’s signature 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox handles shifting duty and transmits the power to the front wheels only. An electronic limited-slip differential on the front-axle helps maximise grip and the 0-100kmph dash is dispatched in 5.9 seconds. The Golf GTI is electronically limited to a top speed of 250kmph.

The car gets GTI-specific red highlights and a smattering of GTI badges outside. The LED matrix headlights have automatic headlight control, and both units are connected by an LED light strip right above the grille. The Volkswagen badge is also illuminated. The front bumper also gets five LED fog lights arranged in an X-shaped honeycomb pattern at both ends. 18-inch “Richmond” alloy rims get a diamond-turned finish and slot in well into the large wheel arches. The rear is made interesting by large LED taillights with multiple elements and twin exhausts finished in chrome.

Inside, the new Golf GTI gets a 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen—which controls most of the car’s tech features including its 7-speaker audio system—perched atop the dashboard. There’s a 10.25-inch digital display with customisable themes and graphics for the driver. Red stitching on the upholstery, red highlights on the steering and tartan fabric inserts on the GTI-branded sports seats are a nod to the legacy of the Mk 1 Golf GTI. Remember, the first-gen came out in 1976, which makes it legal to import to India next year. A large sunroof ensures airiness. Oh, and it also packs in ADAS features such as lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking.

It is truly mind-boggling that despite having well-known performance models in their international line-ups, most manufacturers don’t bother with limited imports except Volkswagen, bringing power to the people and living up to its name.

2025 Tata Altroz Facelift Launched at ₹6.89 Lakh https://turbocharged.in/2025-tata-altroz-facelift-launched-at-%e2%82%b96-89-lakh/ https://turbocharged.in/2025-tata-altroz-facelift-launched-at-%e2%82%b96-89-lakh/#respond Thu, 22 May 2025 12:00:00 +0000 https://turbocharged.in/?p=14332 The new Altroz ups the ante with refreshed design and enhanced features while keeping the diesel diehards happy

The post 2025 Tata Altroz Facelift Launched at ₹6.89 Lakh first appeared on Turbocharged.

]]>
Tata has updated the Altroz for the 2025 model year. Prices for the facelifted premium hatchback now start at ₹6.89 lakh, ex-showroom for the base Smart variant and stretch till ₹11.49 lakh, ex-showroom for the Accomplished + S variant. Bookings will begin from June 2. The Altroz continues to be uniquely positioned in the entire Indian car market primarily because of still offering customers the option of buying a hatchback with a diesel engine. Its chief competitors, namely the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the Hyundai i20 have long abandoned their respective diesel powertrains, but the Altroz continues to soldier on regardless. It is also the only hatchback in India which is available with petrol, diesel and CNG powertrains.

The changes brought around by this facelift are quite substantive. The fascia looks sleeker than before and now resembles that of other contemporary Tata vehicles. The headlamps, fog lights, grille and front bumper are all-new and lend a more commanding presence to the large hatchback. The headlamps are all-LED units with dual banks of LEDs each and are crowned by sharp DRLs strips. The foglights also look similar in design to the main headlamp LED units and are nestled in bumper slots that look inspired from those of the Tata Curvv and Nexon. The rims are now 16-inchers across the entire range and the upper trims get neatly-styled dual-tone alloys. Moving to the rear, the rear bumper is all-new, as are the taillamp clusters and bootlid spoiler. The masked LED taillamps are connected by a thin LED strip and the bumper now integrates a faux-diffuser-like design.

On the inside, the dashboard has been completely revamped and benefits from the design direction taken by other recent Tata vehicles. The layout is new and utilises Tata’s signature illuminated touch buttons for most functions. The dual-spoke steering looks sophisticated and complements the 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. The centre console is topped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen which lets you control the Harman-powered 8-speaker audio system, among other vehicle features such as a new 360-degree outside view camera system. You also get blind spot monitoring courtesy of that very same system. The aircon button panel has been replaced by a capacitive touch button panel which lets you control the aircon and also provides access to the fog lights, rear hatch opening, door locks and the 360-degree camera. You also get ambient lighting now, in addition to a plethora of voice-activated command functions. The interior upholstery has also been refreshed and makes the already spacious cabin seem even airier. The large sunroof also adds to the premium quotient. The Altroz continues to boast its 5-star GNCAP rating and comes with six airbags.

Under the hood, the Altroz follows the ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t mess with it’ formula. All three engines, namely the 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol, 1.2-litre three-cylinder CNG and the 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel have been retained in their existing states of tune. The 1.2-litre petrol engine can now be paired with a 5AMT in addition to the 5MT and 6DCA (DCT), while the diesel and CNG versions can only be had in manual guise. The new Altroz has seen a modest hike of ₹24,000 in its starting price but considering the raft of changes the new generation brings across the board, it should not be an issue.

The post Hyundai India to Bring 26 New and Updated Models in the Next Five Years first appeared on Turbocharged.

]]>
Unsoo Kim, the MD of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has stated that the company has lined up as many as 26 vehicle launches for the Indian market over the upcoming five years (till 2030). These 26 models will comprise 20 Internal Combustion Engine-ed (ICE) vehicles and six Electric Vehicles (EVs). While quite a few of these will be new vehicles, this portfolio will also include generational updates to existing models as well as facelifts in addition to the new cars. Tarun Garg, COO of HMIL has stated that the company will launch at least eight all-new models during this period, which will include hybrid vehicles.

The company seems keen to explore new avenues apart from ICE vehicles and EVs as it has also recently signed an MoU with Indian Oil to conduct a feasibility study for hydrogen FCEVs, during which a Hyundai NEXO FCEV (supplied by Hyundai) will be driven up to 40,000km over the next two years. This study is set to provide valuable insights in gauging the feasibility of mass usage of hydrogen propulsion in the country, a fuel source which as of yet, remains relatively unexplored in India and is expected to gain traction in coming years.

Furthermore, the company has allotted ₹7,000 crore for capital expenditure during FY26, the majority of which will be funnelled towards its newly-acquired third production facility in Maharashtra and also for expanding and refreshing its product lineup. The automaker acquired General Motors’ erstwhile production facility in Talegaon near Pune in Maharashtra in 2024 and is renovating and expanding the same at considerable pace. Once the facility becomes operational later this year, HMIL will have three production facilities in India including its two existing plants in Irungattukottai and Sriperumbudur. The maximum total output from all three facilities combined will exceed 10 lakh units annually.

Established on May 06, 1996, HMIL recently celebrated 29 years of operation. In its nearly three decades of existence, the Korean brand has achieved sales of over 90 lakh units in the Indian domestic market and has further exported over 30.70 lakh vehicles to more than 150 foreign countries, making it one of the largest exporters of Indian-made automobiles. 2024 was Hyundai’s best year in India with a total domestic sale of 6,05,429 units. India remains a critical market for Hyundai considering HMIL’s sales contributed 14.61 percent to Hyundai’s global sales figures for 2024, which stood at 40.14 lakh units.

Poco C71 Review https://turbocharged.in/poco-c71/ https://turbocharged.in/poco-c71/#respond Fri, 09 May 2025 10:43:00 +0000 https://turbocharged.in/?p=14151 Poco, Xiaomi’s budget sub-brand has been doing rather well in India. It has been able to successfully pivot…

The post Poco C71 Review first appeared on Turbocharged.

]]>
Poco, Xiaomi’s budget sub-brand has been doing rather well in India. It has been able to successfully pivot according to the ever-changing market preferences and the new C71 is proof. It packs in many incremental feature upgrades over last year’s C61. The C71 comes in three attractive colourways and we tested the base variant in the ‘Cool Blue’ colourway with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The C71 ships with a 15W charging brick, a USB Type-A to Type-C charging cable and not much else, which is perfectly acceptable considering its price. It has grown in size from the C61 and now sports a 6.86mm IPS LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate and HD+ (1640 x 720) resolution with 600 nits of peak brightness. It also comes TÜV Rheinland certified and together with the high refresh rate, ensures that extended usage doesn’t irritate the eyes. This is a big phone and as such, using it with one hand only is unadvisable. However, it is light enough to not be too overbearing.

The back panel is matte plastic with a shimmering 3D dual gradient colourblocked finish accompanied by a pattern of intersecting lines, which looks quite appealing. This brings me to a pet gripe; why do most smartphones have to look boring? If a budget brand can make a sub ₹7,000 device look this attractive, why do manufacturers of much more expensive devices just push out a meagre selection of uninspiring solid colours and call it a day? Apart from the styling, the plastic chassis with its rounded corners and soft edges feels sturdy and good to hold. The power button also doubles as a reasonably accurate fingerprint scanner. Oppo has bundled in a basic IP52 rating, which is always good to have in any smartphone.

A large yet slim camera bump houses the main 32MP rear camera, which is a substantial upgrade over the C61’s 8MP unit. The camera performs best under ideal lighting and the overall quality of the photos is good enough for the price point. Videos are also recorded with decent clarity. The front camera housed in a water-drop notch has also grown to 8MP from the C61’s 5MP snapper and does a better job of clicking selfies. Both cameras can record videos in 1080p at a maximum 30fps.

The base model C71’s 12nm octa-core Unisoc T7250 processor combined with a minimum of 4GB of RAM is a marginal improvement over the C61’s MediaTek Helio G36, which came with 3GB of RAM in the base model. The top-spec variant gets 6GB of RAM and 128 gigs of storage, which is the same as the older C61. It runs on Android 15 Go Edition and bloatware has been kept to a minimum. Interestingly, Oppo is promising two major software upgrades, and four years of security patches, which, considering the C71’s price, is definitely surprising.

Performance is adequate for daily usage including productivity tasks and media consumption. The sole loudspeaker is mounted on the top and can get quite loud without losing clarity and a 3.5mm audio jack has been provided at the bottom. The 5,200mAh battery easily lasts for more than a day and with moderate usage, might even last two. This characteristic makes the C71 a great secondary phone to have.

To conclude, the Poco C71 is quite a value-for-money option at its starting price of ₹6,499. It can be a good beginner smartphone as it covers all the basics, is well built and also looks quite appealing and can also serve as a backup smartphone for people who solely use more power-hungry devices as their primary smartphone.

MG Windsor PRO EV Launched https://turbocharged.in/mg-windsor-pro-ev-launched/ https://turbocharged.in/mg-windsor-pro-ev-launched/#respond Tue, 06 May 2025 11:50:00 +0000 https://turbocharged.in/?p=14135 The Windsor PRO features a bigger battery and Level 2 ADAS among other added equipment

The post MG Windsor PRO EV Launched first appeared on Turbocharged.

]]>
MG has launched the new Windsor PRO EV at an introductory price of ₹17.50 lakh, ex-showroom. This introductory price can only be availed by the first 8,000 customers who place a booking for the new top-spec variant in the Windsor line-up. The new Windsor PRO’s introductory pricing is higher by ₹1.50 lakh compared to the regular Windsor EV’s top-spec ‘Essence’ variant, which costs ₹16 lakh, ex-showroom. However, MG has added many new features which boost the Windsor EV’s already well-established practicality and tech aspects.

Notably, the Windsor PRO brings in a 52.9kWh battery pack over the regular Windsor’s 38kWh unit. The larger battery pack makes for a 449km MIDC P1+P2-certified range which is 117km more than regular Windsor EV’s 332km. The power figures remain unchanged at 136PS and 200Nm. Furthermore, Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Load charging abilities have also been added to the PRO for added practicality. A new powered tailgate also adds to the convenience.

Responding to popular demand, Level 2 ADAS with 12 features including traffic jam assist, vehicle safe stop, adaptive cruise control, bend cruise assistance, lane departure warning, lane departure prevention, lane keep assist, intelligent headlamp control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking system and intelligent hydraulic braking assistance have also been added for safety enhancement. The interior receives an exclusive ivory and black dual-tone interior upholstery. The Windsor PRO rolls on new 18-inch machined alloy rims that give it a new visual identity from the regular Windsor.

The new Windsor PRO is available in a single ‘Essence PRO’ variant and can be had in three exclusive new colourways–Celedon Blue, Aurora Silver and Glaze Red. Customers can also choose to purchase the Windsor PRO via MG’s BaaS program for just ₹12.49 lakh ex-showroom and pay ₹4.5 per kilometre of usage as battery rental.

MG Windsor EV PRO to be Launched Soon https://turbocharged.in/mg-windsor-ev-pro-to-be-launched-soon/ https://turbocharged.in/mg-windsor-ev-pro-to-be-launched-soon/#respond Fri, 02 May 2025 08:40:00 +0000 https://turbocharged.in/?p=14106 MG’s bestselling EV’s long-range version will debut on May 06

The post MG Windsor EV PRO to be Launched Soon first appeared on Turbocharged.

]]>
The MG Windsor has been quick to become India’s bestselling EV. Since its launch in September 2024, the Windsor EV has overtaken the previous bestseller; the Tata Nexon EV. MG Motor had announced recently that 20,000 Windsors have been sold since the order books opened in October 2024. However, considering the thoughtful blend of technology, features, comfort and practicality that the Windsor offers, it is unsurprising that MG’s ‘Intelligent CUV’ has proved to be a runaway success. The fact that MG Motor pioneered the ‘BaaS-Battery as a Service’ model of ownership in India with the Windsor’s launch helped drive down initial ownership costs while also providing customers with peace of mind. Further, the rapid growth in charging infrastructure across the nation, especially on key highways and routes has also pushed mainstream customers to adopt EVs more willingly.

Now, MG Motor India is launching the Windsor’s long-range version, called the Windsor EV PRO, which promises to up the ante on the already well-rounded package that the regular Windsor offers. The biggest upgrade in the Windsor PRO will be a 52.9kWh battery pack, which is even bigger than the 50.6kWh battery offered in the Wuling Cloud sold overseas on which the Windsor is based. The Wuling Cloud’s battery makes for a claimed range of 460km as per CLTC, which is the Chinese equivalent of MIDC. In comparison, the regular Windsor has a MIDC-rated range of 332km. Furthermore, the new Windsor PRO will also feature upgraded internals to offer faster charging speeds, which will help trim charging times. The regular Windsor can be fully charged in 13.8 hours with a 3.3 kW charger and using a 7.4kW charger takes 6.5 hours. A full top-up can also be achieved in as soon as 55 minutes with a 50kW charger.

The Windsor PRO will offer other upgrades inside as well. The inclusion of Level-2 ADAS has been confirmed by the company. Furthermore, in addition to the upgraded DC fast-charging, the new Windsor PRO will also feature Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Load charging capability, which will undoubtedly enhance its practicality aspect over the regular Windsor. A distinct interior package along with added tech features are also expected to be bundled into the Windsor PRO. All these upgrades will definitely come at an increased cost over the regular Windsor, however considering the extended range that the larger battery pack will offer and the inclusion of Level-2 ADAS, which has quickly become an aspirational feature in the eyes of the modern Indian car buyer, the MG Windsor EV PRO can be safely expected to emulate the regular Windsor’s popularity.

Padma Vibhushan Awarded to Late Osamu Suzuki  https://turbocharged.in/padma-vibhushan-awarded-to-late-osamu-suzuki/ https://turbocharged.in/padma-vibhushan-awarded-to-late-osamu-suzuki/#respond Tue, 29 Apr 2025 13:49:00 +0000 https://turbocharged.in/?p=14101 The award has been conferred in recognition of his keystone contribution to the Indian automobile manufacturing industry

The post Padma Vibhushan Awarded to Late Osamu Suzuki  first appeared on Turbocharged.

]]>
Illustrious Japanese industrialist and the longest-serving head of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Late Osamu Suzuki, has been posthumously awarded India’s second-highest civilian honour, the Padma Vibhushan. He passed away on December 25, 2024, at the age of 94. His son, Toshihiro Suzuki, who currently heads the Japanese automobile giant, received the award on behalf of his late father from Hon’ble President Draupadi Murmu during the annual Padma awards conferment ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi. Osamu Suzuki is now the seventh-ever person to be awarded the Padma Vibhushan posthumously, and has also become the third Japanese citizen to have been bestowed with this honour. Hosei Norota, who served as the Director-General of the Japan Defense Agency from 1998-99 was awarded the honour in 2001 followed by Japan’s longest-serving Prime Minister (across his two terms of 2006-07 and 2012-20) Shinzo Abe, who received the award in 2021. Osamu Suzuki now holds the distinction of being the only Japanese citizen to have been awarded two civilian honours by India as he was bestowed with the Padma Bhushan in 2007.

People unfamiliar with the man himself might be unaware of the magnitude of his contributions to the growth, development and progress of our nation. To put it simply, Late Osamu Suzuki was instrumental in setting up the joint-venture of Suzuki Motor Corporation with the Government of India backed Maruti Udyog Limited back in 1982, which led to the establishment of Maruti Suzuki. This Indo-Japanese collaboration revolutionised the then-barebones Indian automobile manufacturing industry by bringing in the latest technology, innovation and manufacturing practices in line with global standards. However, more importantly, this gave us Indians our very first reliable, yet affordable car; the Maruti Suzuki 800, and the rest, as they say, is history.

The Maruti Suzuki 800, often called just Maruti 800 or 800, was a humble city car which kickstarted the modernisation of the Indian automobile market in earnest. Owning a Maruti 800 was the first taste of a truly global automobile for most Indians and notably, helped us build trust upon foreign companies. These small, economical cars gave fierce competition to the products of other foreign automakers who entered the country post the liberalisation of our economy and also inspired homegrown manufacturers to build better vehicles. The Maruti 800’s sheer domination in India’s car market remains unmatched as it was the bestselling car in India for nearly four decades, from 1985 to 2004!

Maruti Suzuki, which was later taken over wholly by Suzuki Motor Corporation in 2007 and re-branded as Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) had initially started operations in 1983 with the manufacturing capacity of one lakh units per annum. Under the direct and visionary stewardship of Late Osamu Suzuki, the company emerged as arguably the most important manufacturing arm of Suzuki Motor Corporation outside of Japan and by 2024, more than 30 crore Maruti Suzuki and Suzuki-branded vehicles have been manufactured by the company. Out of these, nearly three crore vehicles have been exported globally and MSIL currently contributes to around 43 percent of the total passenger vehicle exports from India. Annual production capacity of the company has grown to a whopping 20 lakh units.

Maruti Suzuki’s erstwhile catchphrase “India comes home in a Maruti Suzuki” richly captures decades of history and aptly signifies just how deeply ingrained the ‘Suzuki’ name is in the very fabric of Indian society. The fact that MSIL continues to command a majority share (as of the 43.2 lakh vehicles sold so far in India during FY2025, 17.6 lakh came from Maruti Suzuki, which translates to over 40 percent market share)  in the Indian automobile market to this day is a testament of Indians’ continued trust in and profound respect for Suzuki San’s legacy, which has only been re-affirmed with this latest honour being conferred upon him by our grateful nation.
