Apollo Tyres has inaugurated its outdoor testing facility in Ivalo, Finland. The facility is designed to help develop and deliver the highest standard winter and all-season tyres. Commissioned in December 2025, it developed under a long-term agreement with automotive testing and certification group UTAC.

Apollo

Built with a specific purpose in mind, the site features dedicated snow and ice tracks, advanced measurement systems and tailored infrastructure to mimic a wide range of real-world winter driving conditions. There are advanced measurement systems which enable precise data gathering for braking, handling, traction and stability when driving. As a dedicated facility, it enables Apollo Tyres to conduct testing throughout the season, which helps gather repeated data, improve logistics, and intensify development cycles.

The facility is designed to meet the current technical and legal requirements while remaining flexible to future regulatory and certification standards, which takes the company’s focus on performance, safety and innovation to higher standards.
