OnePlus 12
OnePlus’ flagship phone series has gotten a refresh, with the launch of the 12. The phone features a 2K 120Hz ProXDR display, featuring brand-new blue diamond pixel layout. It can reach a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The OnePlus 12 also has HyperRendering which is built on the company’s in-house graphics algorithms and Pixelworks X7 Independent Visual Processor, to provide 120Hz frame rate in video games while ensuring HDR colour calibration. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which boasts a 30 percent increase in CPU performance and 25 percent enhancement in GPU performance over the previous gen. Keeping it cool is OnePlus’ new Dual Cryo-velocity VC Cooling System, whose vapour chamber has a surface area covering 9,140 mm². The OnePlus 12 also gets up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 ROM. The OnePlus 12 has three cameras in the rear, with a 50MP wide-angle camera from Sony, a OV64B 3x periscope telephoto camera with 6x in-sensor zoom and a 48 MP ultra-wide camera with 114 degree of field view. The cameras also have image processing algorithms developed in collaboration with Hasselblad. The 5400mAh battery can be charged from 1 to 100 percent in 26 minutes by a 100W SUPERVOOC with the option of a 50W AIRVOOC wireless charger. The OnePlus 12 is available in two colourways – Flowy Emerald and Silky Black. Pre-bookings begin from January 23 at 8:45pm and will be available for sale from January 30 at 12pm.
OnePlus 12R
The OnePlus 12R features a 2780 x 1264 resolution 6.78-inch AMOLED display, capable of 120hz of refresh rate. It features LTPO 4.0 technology which can change the refresh rate from 120hz to 60hz depending on the usage. The 12R gets the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor from Qualcomm. The 12R also gets the same Cryo-Velocity Cooling System as the 12, where the vapour chamber has an internal surface area of 9,140 mm² to dissipate the heat from the processor to keep it cool. The processor is paired with upto 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and upto 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. For cameras, the 12R’s gets a Sony IMX890 50-megapixel sensor, a Sony IMX355 ultra-wide camera sensor with 112 degree of field view and a 16MP front facing camera. The phone gets the largest battery ever from OnePlus, at 5,500mAh capacity. The 100W SUPERVOOC charger can charge the battery from 1 to 100 percent in 26 minutes. The 12R is available in two colourways, namely – Cool Blue and Iron Gray and will be available for sale from February 6 at 12pm.
OnePlus Buds 3
The third generation of OnePlus’ earbuds are out and have dual dynamic drivers in the form of a 10.4mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter. This setup allows the Buds 3 to deliver 15Hz to 40KHz frequency response. Because of the inclusion of the LHDC 5.0 Bluetooth codec, the Buds 3 have been certified by the JAS (Japan Audio Society) as a Hi-Res Audio Wireless device. The earbuds come equipped with 3D Audio technology that provides 3D spatial audio to replicate environments like concert halls or recording studios. The Buds 3 are capable of active noise cancellation of upto 49dB and are TÜV Rheinland certified as a High-Performance Noise Cancellation device. The earbuds get Google Fast Pair, which allows them to switch between two devices. At just 94ms latency, the earbuds can be used during gaming. The Buds 3 can provide upto 10 hours of non-stop playback on full charge and up to 44 hours of total listening time with the charging case. A 10 minute charge provides up to 7 hours of playback. The earbuds also possess IP55 water and dust resistance. The Buds 3 come in Splendid Blue and Metallic Gray colourways and will be available for sale from February 6 at 12pm.
