Mahindra has launched the Excel version of its Supro Profit Truck, which was available in a Mini version before. The new truck is priced at Rs 6.60 lakh for the diesel version and Rs 6.92 lakh for the CNG DUO version, both prices ex-showroom. The truck bridges the gap between last-mile mobility trucks such as the Mahindra Jeeto and full-size pickup trucks such as the Mahindra Bolero pickup.
The Supro Profit Truck Excel is the third body style in the Supro Profit Truck lineup after the Mini and Maxi and has a longer bed measuring 2,515mm (the Supro Profit Truck Mini has a cargo bed length of 2,280mm and the Maxi has 2,500mm). The rated payload capacity of 900kg (750kg for the CNG DUO) sits between the Mini with 800-900kg and the Maxi with 1,050kg.
The Diesel engine pumps out 23.4PS and 55Nm, whereas the CNG DUO version pumps out 27.2PS and 60Nm. Mahindra claims the diesel returns 23.6kmpl while the CNG DUO gets 24.8kmpl of mileage.
The main rivals of the Supro Pofit Truck are the Tata Intra V30 and Ashok Leyland Dost+.
