The Hot 70 Pro therefore has to offer more than just a good-looking design, and it does get several things right.

It is more of a fun addition than an essential feature, but it does make the phone different from most of its rivals. At 204g and 7.85mm thick, the phone is reasonably slim despite its large battery. The high refresh rate makes scrolling and animations feel smooth, while the FHD+ resolution keeps text and images reasonably sharp. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset, paired with 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. There is also support for extended RAM and a microSD card, which is useful for buyers who need more storage. For everyday tasks such as social media, streaming, browsing and switching between apps, the hardware has enough headroom. Gaming on the Infinix Hot 70 Pro felt okay, although buyers looking specifically for a performance-focused phone may find faster alternatives in this price range.
The Hot 70 Pro keeps things fairly simple with a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera and an 8MP front camera. The main camera has autofocus and can record up to 2K video.
The 50MP sensor is the better one of the two, particularly for taking photos in daylight. Although the lack of a dedicated ultrawide or telephoto camera limits its versatility.
The 6000mAh battery is one of the phone’s strongest points. It supports 45W fast charging and should comfortably suit users who spend long hours away from a charger. Reverse charging is also supported. The phone runs Android 16 with Infinix’s XOS 16 interface. There are plenty of additional features and customisation options, though some users may prefer a cleaner Android experience.
The Infinix Hot 70 Pro is an interesting option for someone who wants a phone that looks and feels a little different. Its smooth 144Hz display, large battery, IP68 rating and capable Dimensity 7100 processor make it a well-rounded package. The camera setup is relatively straightforward, and an AMOLED display would have made the overall package stronger.
Still, the Hot 70 Pro gets the important things largely right. It is not the obvious choice for every buyer, but for someone looking for a feature-packed phone with a distinctive design, it deserves a closer look.
