What is it?
Heading for a track day at MMRT in the hot and humid Chennai, I took the Viaterra Kruger full-gauntlet gloves along to test them out. Full gauntlet gloves are designed to offer maximum protection for intensive rides such as the racetrack. The Kruger gets CE-Level 2 viscoelastic protectors which hardens on impact (we haven’t tested it, fortunately!), while there are SuperFabric inserts for slide protection. Full-gauntlet gloves primarily focus on protection with ventilation mostly being an afterthought. Thanks to its leather and mesh construction, the Kruger offers ample ventilation. It is comfortable too, with soft cushioning and a wide opening so they are easy to put on and off. Overall, the Viaterra Kruger gloves were comfortable throughout my race weekend allowing me to focus on just one thing – racing!
