Royal Enfield has introduced an updated side stand for the Himalayan. The updated side stand is available for new and existing customers across Royal Enfield dealerships and carries a price tag of ₹3,250.

The older side stand of the Himalayan causes the motorcycle to lean too much to the left, which is a design issue. Thus, it makes it difficult for riders to get the bike up straight, and is especially a problem among shorter riders. The Himalayan has a kerb weight of 196kg, which is on the heavier side and thus riders face issues while handling the motorcycle when standing still, particularly when getting it up from the side stand.
With the newly designed side stand, Royal Enfield is addressing the issue and making it easy for riders to handle the motorcycle. The Royal Enfield Himalayan is priced at ₹3.06 lakh and goes up to ₹3.37 lakh ex-showroom for the Mana Black edition.
