Tesla India offers benefits of ₹3 lakh on Model Y upon exchange with petrol or diesel-powered Cars

Tesla India has introduced a ‘Switch and Save’ scheme for the Model Y. Under this scheme, customers can avail of a benefit of ₹3 lakh upon exchanging their existing car for a petrol or diesel-powered car. The move aims to reduce the upfront cost for customers who are looking forward to moving to electric vehicles.

The American electric car vehicle manufacturer is also offering a finance option with a downpayment of ₹6 lakh and monthly installments starting from ₹49,000 with a seven-year tenure and an APR of 8.5 percent, allowing customers flexibility of payment while availing the exchange bonus benefit.

Tesla has partnered with Spinny as their exchange partner. Those who get their old exchanged through Spinny can avail an additional bonus of ₹25,000 at the time of delivery. The partnership facilitates the easy selling of the old vehicle and ordering a new Tesla Model Y in a single process.

Additionally, the company claims that lower fuel and maintenance needs for the Tesla Model Y can help owners save up to ₹20,000 per month, which brings down the overall cost of ownership to up to ₹29,000 per month. With the included home wall charger, the estimated charging cost comes to just ₹1 per km.

Customers can approach to list their vehicles via the Spinny mobile application, at Spinny centres and Tesla centres. Test drives are available at Tesla experience centres in Mumbai, Delhi and Gurugram. The orders can be placed online via Tesla’s website.

The Tesla Model Y in India comes in two rear-wheel-drive variants – one with a WLTP range of 500km and another with a WLTP range of 661km. The Model Y has secured high safety ratings from Euro NCAP, IIHS and ANCAP.
