Events and festivals centered around automotive culture and enthusiasts seem to be all the rage these days. In the last couple of months, we’ve had the Motoverse, India Bike Week and Motosoul in quick succession. The Raymond Autofest 2025 also concluded just a few days ago and now, another event has already been announced! This time, it is an all-new motoring festival going by the name of “Generation Speed”.
Scheduled for 22-23 February at the Aamby Valley Air Strip near Lonavala, Pune (where The Valley Run took place little more than a month ago), this new event promises to be “a celebration for motoring enthusiasts” of all kinds. The organisers have tried to put together an event where “everyone comes together to celebrate their love for all things automotive” and are confident that they will have something on offer for every type of motoring enthusiast, no matter their niche.
A car show featuring at least 200 automobiles, including classic sports cars, race cars, super cars, and modified cars will be on display. An FMSCI-affiliated Autocross race, offroad events for 4×4 vehicles as well as competitions for drift cars and stunt bikes are also on the cards. Latest automotive gear and gadgets will also be available for purchase at the event’s shopping expo area, including performance mods at the dedicated “Tuners Zone”.
Attendees can also expect to indulge in go-karting, dirt karting, drift taxi rides, driving simulators and more. Ziplining, rock climbing, paragliding, ATV trail riding and camping arrangements are also being made for the more adventurous. Being touted as a family-friendly event, dedicated areas for children’s activities and cosplay events have also been announced. Finally, the evenings have been marked for performances by bands and DJs. The itinerary looks promising enough and it sure feels like a good time to be an automobile enthusiast in India right now.
