Triumph has unveiled the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer edition. Limited to just 800 units worldwide, each motorcycle will be sold along with a certificate of authenticity. Inspired by the British Cafe Racers of the 1960s, it is based on the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RS
It retains the 1200cc parallel-twin engine that produces approximately 106PS and 113Nm of torque. No mechanical changes have been made to the powertrain or chassis; the updates focus on styling and ergonomics to evoke the cafe racer aesthetic. The key changes include clip-on handlebars for a more forward-leaning riding position, a brown leather seat with a removable pillion cowl, the removal of passenger footpegs, and a two-tone Competition Green and Aluminium Silver paint scheme featuring metallic flake accents.
The motorcycle continues to use the RS specific components, including fully adjustable Marzocchi forks, Öhlins rear shocks, Brembo Stylema brakes, and Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres, maintaining its performance and handling characteristics.
In the UK, the SpeedTwin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition is priced at around £15,995 (approximately ₹20 lakh before taxes and import duties). There has been no official announcement regarding availability in India, and given the limited production run, an official launch in the Indian market appears unlikely at this stage.
