Tata Motors has launched the 2026 Tata Punch facelift in India with an introductory starting price of ₹5.59 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Smart petrol MT variant. The prices go up to ₹10.54 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Accomplished+ S iCNG AMT variant.
The new Punch gets updated styling and refreshed lighting, borrowing bits from the outgoing EV model. It gets an updated 3D front grille, dual-tone bumper, and larger connected tail lamps. Tata has also added new alloy wheel designs, along with tweaks to the overall stance.
Inside, Tata has updated the cabin with a new dashboard layout, better materials and a stronger feature list. Key additions include an auto-dimming IRVM, 10.25-inch HD infotainment touchscreen, 360-degree HD surround view camera, air purifier, automatic climate control, and a 65W Type-C fast charger. The SUV also gets rear armrest, ambient lighting, and a combination of four speakers + four tweeters for improved audio experience.

On the safety front, Tata claims the Punch facelift has ‘95+ active and passive safety features’ and retains a five-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, same as the pre-facelift Punch. It also offers six airbags as standard, ESP, Hill Hold Control, and Hill Descent Control, along with reminders for seatbelts across seats.
Powertrain options are a major highlight. Tata has introduced the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, offered with a manual gearbox. The base variant gets a 1.2-litre Revotron engine with a choice available between manual and automatic transmission. Alongside it, the Punch also gets a twin-cylinder iCNG setup paired with AMT, in order to save boot space and add to practicality. The Tata Punch facelift will continue to compete with rivals like the Hyundai Exter, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, and Citroen C3 in the sub-compact SUV space.
