For the past few years, Jeep India has been locally assembling the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon which made it more affordable but didn’t catch everyone’s fancy given its utilitarian roots. With this facelift model, Jeep is looking to fix this exact thing.
The updates on the design front are mostly cosmetic including a black finish for the iconic 7-slat grille. The bumpers are new as well. The off-roader is now more tech heavy than before with addition of features like ADAS, a big 12.3-inch infotainment screen which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electrically powered driver’s and passenger seats, and heated function for the steering and front seats.
The SUV continues to be offered with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that puts out 270PS and 400Nm, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Being a hardcore off-roader, it gets tons of off-road features including one-touch Sway Bar Disconnect, Off-Road Plus mode and a locking differential.
The Jeep Wrangler continues to be a unique SUV that now benefits from the addition of premium features. To know more about how it feels to drive, read our first drive review of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon here.
