Hyundai celebrated 10 years of the Creta with an array of special-edition models, including the King and Knight editions, which we covered earlier this year. However, we would like to note that TURBOCHARGED was part of the celebrations as well, during which we took the Hyundai Creta to Pokhran and the Creta Electric to Hikkim under our special feature initiative.
It is rare to see a segment leader break its own record, but Hyundai’s midsize SUV, the Creta, has just done so in 2025. We are aware that at least 1,00,000 Cretas are sold each year since its inception in India a decade ago. However, this year, the most popular midsize SUV has broken its own record as Hyundai has confirmed that in CY2025 it has sold over 2,00,000 Cretas, which is 550 units a day, a commendable achievement for an automobile that starts at ₹10.72 lakh ex-showroom. Not just that, the Creta has a considerable cult following, and we can still see all generations of the Creta on the road, which is an indicator of the Creta’s quality and robustness.
